So, now that this is over, what was everyones take?

...A bit grim, but an unexpected ending for me so I liked it.

The art seemed weird to me though, but I am not a big follower of print comics so the appeal of a guest artist wasnt as big for me.

It was very, VERY anti-climactic. He took out Santa and then had a change of heart instead of some epic battle as advertised. The lead up was much better than the execution. I mean, the one where Santa is ripped and they talk about it instead of fighting was fucking hilarious! But the rest was...I don't know. I just couldn't get into it.

I agree the whole thing was incredibly anti-climactic. I stopped reading PVP cause it just didn't appeal to me anymore, but thought I'd give this arc a chance since it had so much hype. As usual, very let down. Plus, all I could think about was the worst TOS episode ever.

I think is what happens when you want to tell an epic story but don't want to do all the work of telling an epic story.

Based on this arc and previous endeavours, it seems that Kurtz is simply unable to bring anything to a worthwhile climax.

Which might explain why we've never heard of him having kids... [/lowblow]

Really disappointed with the whole arc. Could have been much more, needed to be longer to really fill out some things, and the art was just not right for PvP.

Have you seen him and his wife. To quote Austin Powers, "How is it possible.. No, I mean, literally, HOW could you do it? The man's so fat, the sheer mechanics of it are mind-boggling. "

'specially considering the lack of climaxes.

There, are you people happy now?

If this storyline shows what Scott is capable of designing and writing when all of the art is offloaded to another individual...he should do the opposite. He's a good artist, but his writing and storytelling are just not up to par with what he imagines in his head.

I'd liken him more to that fat Gungan in Episode 1 than George Lucas..

"Meesa makin' bombad comic strips for the intawebbes" *shakes his head throwing drool in all directions*

[strike]pbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbttttt...t..t..t..t..t..weeeeeeeeeeep!

(that was a fart that starts out normal and then gets all slow and poppy and then ends by getting really high-pitched and squeaky)

EDIT: I mean, right-o, jolly good good show old bean. My intellectual taste buds have been tickled to the pink by the masterful wit of Doctor Kurtz.

sure, but the tastes that come out of him are all gross. Sweaty pig, stinky underwear, roasting fat man. Blech.

(I felt bad for typing that. Sorry Kurt. )
