Actor, writer, singer, outlaw Kris Kristofferson died today in his home in Maui at age 88.
Only one Highwayman remains (Willie Nelson), we'll see how long it takes.
Kris did it all, and did 'em well, and through it all he tried, in his way, to be free.

Kris Kristofferson is one of the few titans of country that was actually a fucking cool dude. When country music was about saying fuck the law instead of licking boots. Though I imagine today's country audiences would say he's just too "woke."
... when did I become an old man? I don't even like country but Kristofferson ruled.

I'm not into country music, so I only know him from the Blade movies, but his appearances in them left an impression on me. Sad to see him go.

I think I knew him from Convoy before I even knew him as a musician. Not before I'd heard him elsewhere as a musician, mind you...but at the time I didn't recognize who that singer was.

My favorite thing about Kris Kristofferson is that when Toby Keith told him to tone down the "lefty shit" Kris said TK had done for Country Music what Pantyhose had done for finger fuckin'.
