I find that I have a copy of the upcoming game Legend of Grimrock. This is an old school RPG in the same vein as Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master. It comes out on April 11, but the key that I have can link it to your Steam account so that on the 11th it'll automatically unlock.

So how can you get your hands on this gaming goodness? Why, win the contest of course!!

Rules:

  • Starting Monday on or about 10 am CST and every day after that, I will be posting a scavenger hunt kind of thing. You find it and post a picture of it as a response in the thread.
  • First response gets 10 points. Second gets 8. Then 6, 4 & 2.
  • At the end of the week the person with the most points wins.
  • Some days I may deem the hunt to be difficult and may change the amount of points available. This change will be announced in the post detailing the hunt object(s).
  • Clues will not be given unless the hunt object(s) prove too difficult.
  • Daily hunt announcements may be given as a riddle, cypher or pictograph. I don't want it to be TOO easy.
  • If a tie occurs, the tying individuals will be forced to fight to the death in the Dome of Atonement. Barring the ability to build the Dome, I will add an additional challenge for the tied individuals alone with the first correct response the winner.

Yeah, there are online decryptors but only one I found that used the patristocratic method, which figures out spaces. Normally cryptograms would be hard, but with the internet...Riddles and stuff are hard to do and make it challenging without being impossible.

Stupid 3D images. Also, they don't look nearly as smooth on my monitor as they did in the Magic Eye books - I don't think pixelation really helps them.
