That's odd. I tried it on three separate machines with Firefox 4.0.1 and didn't get sound out of any of them.

Of course, the calculation of that cost falls apart when you realize it's assuming those people would have been working during those extra 17 seconds had the doodle not been there. In practice, it probably only succeeded in taking away from facebook time.
