I'm definitely replaying the entire game when the DLC comes out and proceed to get all the female characters ASAP then proceed to whore myself upon each and everyone one of them (except Jack) relentlessly and make sure there’s plenty of JaySheps willing to segregate the entire galaxy for all humankind.

I have gone through the end mission 3 times now and have not yet lost anyone. I always pick either Garrus or Miranda as the leader of the other teams, Tali always goes into the tube. Anyone who is not loyal to me goes with me on the way through the first two spots. I have Mordin take the crew back as he is not a great defender. I usually leave the tanks behind to hold the doors, Garrus, Grunt, etc. The people I bring with me for the last fight are loyal and usually have some powers that make up for something I lack. Tali and Jack being usual choices for tech and biotics, but I will also take Miranda or Legion along since they have the powers and decent weapons.

Tali and Legion really do make the last fight trivial if you take them as a combo, at least if you ask me. I was a soldier with the burst rifle and single shot sniper rifle, using Warp Ammo as my special power. I would have Tali with the Explosive Drone and Legion with the Super Drone, and anytime it was off cooldown I would have them pull those guys out. The Collectors that attack were always easy to snipe or gun down, the problem always came with Harbinger, who would get distracted fighting the two drones so I could gun him down with impunity. After that I found the Human-Reaper to be a pushover that just involves cover-shoot-cover-shoot over and over till it was dead.

That is actually one of the things I always found so silly about Mass Effect, you are hiding behind what amounts to a metal box or a door frame, getting hit by missiles, grenades, and reaper mouth super lasers, and somehow that little section of wall makes you impervious to even the most deadly looking attack.

The last fight as an Agent/Infiltrator with the multi-shot Sniper Rifle (giving you that tasty slo-mo) is stupid easy. You don't even have to attack the Collectors as the eye beams kill them. All I did was aim for eyes, and during the slomo I got a good two-three rounds in per phase. Stupid easy.

For really stupid easy fights, use the Cain heavy weapon. 2 shots kills it. If you don't have enough ammo, 1 fully charged shot will take it to about 1/4 health

At some point in the game, my team rarely even used weapons anymore. It was simply bionic combo carnage that mopped the floor... WITH EVERYTHING. The recharge rate with upgrades made it ridiculously overpowered.

I never really understood how to use the Cain heavy weapon. I stuck with the reaper beam heavy weapon.
Hold the trigger and it powers up, release the trigger and your enemies, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

Seriously, figure it out, it kills the Thresher Maw in 1 shot.

As an Agent, using the Sniper Rifle and the Carnifex Hand Cannon it was pretty much 3-shot city (adding the Armor-piercing rounds on playthrough two is stupid OP). Also, I actually found some sniper nests in various locations, unlike the first game where it was mostly just corridors full of boxes (not that there's any less of this in ME2).

The Archangel missions in particular were sniper-tastic.

I did the Suicide Mission with Garrus and Legion, while I was an Infiltrator. Legion & Me with Widow and Garrus with the normal sniper. It was insane how fast stuff died.
