No wonder the protests are so rude and the situation so tense :S

This is a "fake news" program by the way (as the daily show is) on Comedy Central.

The socialist references are there, in jest, because the ACTUAL right has called Obama socialist. There were even actual posters in this forum that said that since Obama won it was now "Amerika".

Well, to be fair, posters that represent politicians as "insert pretty much anything" are hardly new... I mean, it's like the ACTUAL left compared Bush to Hitler or called America "AmeriKKKA" in the last 8 years, especially on these forums.
So yes, that is and has been the level of political discourse for many years now although it seems like almost nobody noticed it until recently...

So yes, that is and has been the level of political discourse for many years now although it seems like almost nobody noticed it until recently...

I find most members of the left are incapable of laughing at themselves, and because of that you wind up in situations like these where even though the show is mocking the right they get offensive because it hints at something that may be considered a joke about them.
