Because when I try and reseed, I get shit for upload speed. Yet I have it set for unlimited.

I use qBittorrent and thought I had everything set up.

Have you forwarded the appropriate ports on your router?

That I have not done. I will look into that tonight, once I finish this stupid project at work that is eating my life.

Also, make sure your router can handle the load. It matters more than you might think.

I'm not worried about that. I have a new router that is a dual channel beast. But I do thank you for the link!

It's one of those links that everyone should know put in their arsenal.

There we go! The forwarded port was being blocked by my ISP. I moved it to another port and now my upload is rocking. Thanks, guys! Now my ratio can be safe!

Damn. It was going well. Turns out that it's being throttled because I'm behind a paid VPN. I would get better speed if I went running naked into the MPAA woods, but I'm not that stupid.

This makes me happy.

If you're on a private tracker, like iptorrents, you're probably OK to go without the VPN... Probably. I do, anyway, and I've never gotten a S&D.

Definitely don't do it on an open tracker though, like Piratebay.

Seedbox?

Private Internet Access[DOUBLEPOST=1405600731,1405600581][/DOUBLEPOST]Since I'm on IPTorrents, I'll try it today without the VPN. I've gotten an S&D before, but I always used Pirate Bay when that happened.[DOUBLEPOST=1405600806][/DOUBLEPOST]And by the way, I only do tv shows that I can't get here (mostly British) and movies that are not on Netflix or On Demand. I don't do games or current movies. I f-ing HATE cam rips.

I think he was suggesting a seedbox as a solution, not asking if you were using one.

Oh wait... you guys mean a C&D for Cease and Desist. And here I thought Gas was just fighting the commies (or socialists... same thing).

I have no idea why I typed S&D. I did mean C&D.

Because you're getting better bandwidth on your Ipad 4 via wifi than I've got on any cat-5 connected PC at work or home.

Also: ISP is Cocks.

Yup. That's my wi-fi iPad speedtest! Remember me telling you about the new dual band router? Well, the N band is only usable by a few devices so the iPad gets it all.

On my unsecured guest band, it only gets...wait, what?!?

The line coming into our house gets 5M/768k, which is "the best they can do at our location," but if I do the same test over LTE with my phone, I get 40/12. The whole broadband infrastructure ISP competition-but-not-really thing can go suck an egg.
