Silver Knight
Tiger Helicopter

#8

figmentPez

figmentPez

Skateboarding kid (This could be any of the 500 billion skateboarding games)
Silver Knight
Tiger Helicopter
The skateboarding one is actually more leading than I first thought. He's doing a specific trick, which is also the name of the game. This should help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Skateboarding_video_games

The knight is about what he's equipped to do.

You're so close on the tiger, but you've got to be a little more concise.

#29 The running rock
#32 Owl with a crown

Okay, 38 and I'm stuck. Here's what I got so far:

Fire Truck (never even heard of it)
Ah, that game you've never heard of
Fire Truck
is an arcade game, where one person steered the front of the truck, and the other the rear.

That owl is pissing me off.
Ditto for pie on the far right.
And that clock cut in half.
The golden T.

The other Tron game
The tiger helicopter
The dude with an eye hanging out
The air balloons

Ugh. I love and hate these games. Love because they're fun but hate because when I figure out the answer, I'm all like "Well, DUH, Nick!"

Huh, apparently there's a game called Balloon Fight.

---------- Post added at 06:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:48 AM ----------

I'm stuck on:
1. Owl with the crown
2. Running rock
3. Snake in a bowl
4. Bull and R on a page in a book
5. Guy with a star shirt in the lower left corner
[STRIKE]6. Tron guy on a roof[/STRIKE] Wait, this is apparently Discs of Tron.

Donkey Konga is the ass with the drums.

#20

figmentPez

figmentPez

The golden T.
It's a golf game. Once you know that, it should be easy to figure out the two letters you're missing.

The star in the castle
You've got some something "in the" way of the answer.

The air balloons
The guys in the balloons have guns, but the game doesn't have any guns. There are balloons in the game, though. It's a Nintendo game, with gameplay very similar to the game with the silver knight in the upper right of the puzzle.

RAM PAGE - Rampage

#22

figmentPez

figmentPez

Snake in a bowl
It's a game about an attack helicopter, and it sounds like it came out for the SNES

Guy with a star shirt in the lower left corner
The guy is Bill Gates, and I'm not sure if the game is named after a movie or if it's just a coincidence it shares it's name with that film that spawned 3 spin-off TV series.

---------- Post added at 01:57 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:55 AM ----------

RAM PAGE - Rampage
What???? You've got to be kidding me. Since when are rams depicted as being red with black horns?

Oh, well... I think about a quarter of all games for the Super Nintendo had "Super" in their title, and that's what I meant.

All I'm missing is the running rock and the stupid freaking owl in a crown.
I ended up having to google those, just to satisfy my curiosity.

The owl one is a golf arcade game, and I've never connected an owl to this golf term in my mind. Too grand a bird for the diminutive.

The running rock is a game I've heard of, but never played. I even had to look it up to see what it is. It's had a lot of sequels though, and even been released on the iPhone, PSP, DS and XBLA. Anyway, it's name is <synonym for large rock> <synonym for a run>, and sounds like an exclamation of disbelief.

#32

Bowielee

Bowielee

A-thank you, I never heard of that first one, and I can't BELIEVE I didn't get that last one.

All done!

The pink D car and the prick with the star on his chest are the ones I can't figure.

#34

Bowielee

The pink D car and the prick with the star on his chest are the ones I can't figure.

For the car, it's pointing to a PART of the car, not the car itself.

For the Star, that's the founder of Microsoft. The name of the game was also the name of an AWESOME movie.

#35

ThatNickGuy

ThatNickGuy

Still can't get the tiger helicopter one. Tried "Tiger Helo" but it's not working.

Ditto on the cut out dude on the road.

#36

I think that's a typo, it's supposed to be Tiger Heli.

As for the cut out dude, what do you make cut-outs out of?

Kevin Flynn was Jeff Bridges character in Tron. The whole site is in preparation for Tron 2.

Thanks, man. That's a much better explanation than "Tron".

I got 40 without help (and I'm not even a gamer), up to 42 total, and then the page started ignoring anything I typed in. I might come back and finish it later.

the prick with the star on his chest.
Stargate because it looks like Bill Gates and he has a star and *facepalm*

#46

Telephius

Spy Hunter, the steam coming off the pie are 'S's and its a guy wearing plaid with a gun in the pie.

#48

figmentPez

figmentPez

ok, what is the one with the Red R typing a bunch of "RRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"s?
It's a side-scrolling shooter, and you're so close it's hilarious.

#49

sixpackshaker

sixpackshaker

OK found it with the side scroll hint.

I can get the ones that were in the Arcade, or made it big on PC's. I just don't know Jack about console gaming.

#50

Frank

Frankie Williamson

R-Type was mainly an arcade game for quite a long time before hitting consoles and everything else.

#51

Bowielee

Bowielee

R-Type sucked so many quarters out of my pockets. Of course, I still remember playing Space Invaders in the arcade, unlike most of you whippersnappers :p

#52

Tinwhistler

Tinwhistler

Yeah, Defender came out a couple of years later.
Defender: Stargate was the sequel, and came out the next year. I am assuming this is the game referred to in the website, and not any game that was spun off from the Stargate movie/series.

Jumper:
maybe he's not jumping..maybe he's ____ing?

Skateboarder
Maybe count how many times he's gone around?

Also, since when is Halo a classic? That's NEW!

#58

Tinwhistler

if you consider a title that's almost 10 years old "new"

#59

figmentPez

Shadow of the Colossus came out in 2005, though. Not old enough to be a classic.

#60

PatrThom

PatrThom

It is classic enough to be a Classic, though.

(who remembers Ladybug, Qix, Scramble, Battlezone, Make Trax, Time Pilot, and dozens more...yes, even Biplane)

Well that was a good time but I did horribly. Wouldn't have gotten past 12/56 without this thread.

#62

Bubble181

Bubble181

I dunno...Halo gets included, but Quake or Doom doesn't? I can understand no Wolfenstein as being too hard to show cryptically...But I was surprised at some games left off. I know, I know, I'm a pc gamer at heart, but...No Dune? That'd have been easy. Or Diablo...Well, I can keep it up. Plenty of easily-depicted classics not shown, and some games I didn't expect on there.
I mean, do you seriously place Halo on the same playing ground as Tron or Dig Dug?!

#63

Bowielee

Bowielee

To be fair, the site just says name the video game, it doesn't qualify it with "classic". Nor does it purport to be any sort of ranking of quality.

#64

Joe Johnson

Thanks, man. That's a much better explanation than "Tron".
Sorry, that was supposed to just be a non-spolery way to hint at what it was from.
