I never get tired of these guessing games. I got about 30 so far, but stumped at this point.

I'm at 37. Some of these are tough!

40 now. Argh.

I'm up to 38, but I'm not sure I'm going to get any further.

EDIT: 39, I was spelling a game's name wrong.

I only have 5 left, but i can't for the life of me figure out what they are.

The skateboarding one is actually more leading than I first thought. He's doing a specific trick, which is also the name of the game. This should help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Skateboarding_video_games

You're so close on the tiger, but you've got to be a little more concise.

Ah, that game you've never heard of
is an arcade game, where one person steered the front of the truck, and the other the rear.

That owl is pissing me off.
Ditto for pie on the far right.
And that clock cut in half.
The golden T.
The book with "R"
The star in the castle
The two dudes holding up...swords? Wands?
The other Tron game
The tiger helicopter
The dude with an eye hanging out

The guys in the balloons have guns, but the game doesn't have any guns. There are balloons in the game, though. It's a Nintendo game, with gameplay very similar to the game with the silver knight in the upper right of the puzzle.

The guy is Bill Gates, and I'm not sure if the game is named after a movie or if it's just a coincidence it shares it's name with that film that spawned 3 spin-off TV series.

I ended up having to google those, just to satisfy my curiosity.

The owl one is a golf arcade game, and I've never connected an owl to this golf term in my mind. Too grand a bird for the diminutive.

The running rock is a game I've heard of, but never played. I even had to look it up to see what it is. It's had a lot of sequels though, and even been released on the iPhone, PSP, DS and XBLA. Anyway, it's name is <synonym for large rock> <synonym for a run>, and sounds like an exclamation of disbelief.

A-thank you, I never heard of that first one, and I can't BELIEVE I didn't get that last one.

For the car, it's pointing to a PART of the car, not the car itself.

For the Star, that's the founder of Microsoft. The name of the game was also the name of an AWESOME movie.

Still can't get the tiger helicopter one. Tried "Tiger Helo" but it's not working.

Ditto on the cut out dude on the road.

I think that's a typo, it's supposed to be Tiger Heli.

As for the cut out dude, what do you make cut-outs out of?

Kevin Flynn was Jeff Bridges character in Tron. The whole site is in preparation for Tron 2.

It's a side-scrolling shooter, and you're so close it's hilarious.

OK found it with the side scroll hint.

I can get the ones that were in the Arcade, or made it big on PC's. I just don't know Jack about console gaming.

R-Type was mainly an arcade game for quite a long time before hitting consoles and everything else.

R-Type sucked so many quarters out of my pockets. Of course, I still remember playing Space Invaders in the arcade, unlike most of you whippersnappers

Yeah, Defender came out a couple of years later.
Defender: Stargate was the sequel, and came out the next year. I am assuming this is the game referred to in the website, and not any game that was spun off from the Stargate movie/series.

Well that was a good time but I did horribly. Wouldn't have gotten past 12/56 without this thread.

I dunno...Halo gets included, but Quake or Doom doesn't? I can understand no Wolfenstein as being too hard to show cryptically...But I was surprised at some games left off. I know, I know, I'm a pc gamer at heart, but...No Dune? That'd have been easy. Or Diablo...Well, I can keep it up. Plenty of easily-depicted classics not shown, and some games I didn't expect on there.
I mean, do you seriously place Halo on the same playing ground as Tron or Dig Dug?!

To be fair, the site just says name the video game, it doesn't qualify it with "classic". Nor does it purport to be any sort of ranking of quality.
