Yeah, the headlines are all "SERIOUS CONDITION!" "CRITICAL CONDITION", etc. He had some cuts on his face and will be fine. He's in fair condition. Dial it back a bit, yellow journalists.

Another shot of the plane. From above, with the paintjob it kinda looked like a P26a but clearly it is not.

It could be a trainer version of the plane.

I've seen the same type of plane at the Houston Air Show.[DOUBLEPOST=1425606290,1425606196][/DOUBLEPOST]Found it.

"Harrison Ford has a boo boo" doesn't get clicks.[DOUBLEPOST=1425606625,1425606361][/DOUBLEPOST]

Apparently the "yellow wings with texaco star insignia" paint jobs were standard for the army air corps from 1927 until WW2, when pilots complained the red dot might make allies confuse them for Japanese planes.

I think that was a one of a kind plane too. ... they made 1,000's but this one is the only one built with a specific motor.

That is not the craft that made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs.

Judging from the unfolding story (engine failure), maybe it should have been built with the other motor :p

And the Wikipedia article has already been updated.
Actor Harrison Ford was injured when his Ryan ST-3KR crash-landed at a golf course in Santa Monica, California on March 5, 2015.[17]

Fly? Yes.

Land? No.

That's what Ford gets for trying to do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs at his age.

Even Death knows we can't lose Spock and Solo this close together.

The news described like 3 others. I am not sure though.

Any landing that you can walk away from...

I'm sure the people on the golf course don't feel quite the same

From the news reports I read it wasn't just scratches.. He broke his pelvis. OUCH!!!!!
That pic of Han being carried on the stretcher made me guffaw though!
Hoping he can recover and STOP getting injured!

It is the sort of thing you don't want to make a habit of.

He is 72, though. He's going to get hurt more easily at this age, just because his body can't bounce back like it used to. Thankfully, both the plane crash and the injuries on the Star Wars set are ones he'll recover from.
