Just too bad they won't do a movie based on "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale."
Total Recall was good but it had a lousy ending and some cheesy bits throughout. Probably not worth a remake but it could conceivable improve on the original
Of all the movies being remade, I'm surprised Jaws hasn't been touched yet.
But it was done right the first time.

Possibly, but why remake it instead of making more movies based on his stories?
When has that ever stopped them from doing a remake anyway?
There won't be another Jaws for a good 20 years after Spielberg's death. He's too much of a power player to let some sophomore director fuck up his masterpiece.
Not to mention, they've been remaking Jaws for years, with bears, birds, dinosaurs, trees (though that was a parody), following similar formulas, and never coming close to doing a good job.
But that was a terrible movie. There is plenty of room to improve.
