Anyone? Over the air tv. Anyone?
I haven't for years.
But there's tons of shows, like M*A*S*H I would love but I haven't seen it. But still.
I grew up watching over the air tv. Just checking in. Is there anyone out there still watching? It is starting to remind me of how I denied to listen to old radio stories.
.... I know the problem is commercials.
But does anyone still try?

PBS almost exclusively. Occasionally for sports (rare though). Not much else. I hate commercials, but now all streaming platforms have them.

I haven't had cable in more than 20 years. When I did, it was when I lived my parents. Anything I wanted, I "legally obtained."

Although, I've taken advantage of the free channels on my Smart TV. For awhile, I had a Classic Who channel that played every Doctor from First to Seventh. That was awesome, but it's gone now (probably a rights issue). Then I had the Baywatch channel on, but it was mostly background noise while something downloaded or switching to the PS5. Then it was the Corner Gas channel for the same reasons. Got bored of that. Might switch to the Alf channel soon.

Every since broadcast television was killed to make way for 5G and other spectra, I left OTA television behind, except for a short stint to bridge the gap between the death of analog cable and the rise of streaming.

I haven’t check availability up there in a Auckland, but there is a whole free streaming app called Pluto TV here that has channels devoted to old sitcoms, westerns, Star Trek, and they had one for Dr Who too.
