Does anybody use a personal wiki? I just downloaded Tomboy to keep all of my notes on, but I'm not sure about some of the features. Or rather, I'd like features that it doesn't have.
Problem 1: After playing with it, I discovered that if I name one note "Death Star" and another note "Star Wars," there are conflicts. If I, for example, wanted to talk about a war between Death Stars, and typed in a note the words "Death Star Wars" it jumbles "Death Star" and "Star Wars," and links to "Death Star Wars," creating a whole new note in the process. Basically, what I'm saying is that it doesn't give me enough control with linking.
Another example would be "Jiffy." There is a cab company in this city with that name, and as long as I have an entry named "Jiffy," it'll link in places I don't necessarily want it to, like if I wanted to use the phrase "in a jiffy"
I'll admit that this problem came about specifically because I was looking for problems in the linking, and that there are likely solutions (Such as calling the "Jiffy" note "Jiffy Cabs"). I just didn't want to be caught in a situation later on, when I have a lot of data invested in my notekeeping software, and I discover an issue in a context where solutions are complex and/or counter-intuitive.
Problem 2: There doesn't seem to be any support for images, which is a problem, because I sort of wanted to include images in notes about people.
So. Does anyone else use a personal wiki? What do you use, and what do you like?
