Any folders on the desktop are stuff that hasn't been moved into the external archives yet. Same with any mp3's, etc.

I'm also probably the one dude who uses the sidebar in Windows7, haha.

Edit: Also, CPU usage is that high since I have a computer and an xbox360 remotely accessing this thing right now. Not very pleased with the CPU/RAM usage on remote tasks using winders7.

I havent really had a chance to put some gadgets to the sidebar in 7. I use them in vista ultimate black on my laptop though. Mainly for a small program doc, facebook app, weather, and pc stats. Works well. Ill put laptop up in a few.

There is my laptop at this point...running Windows Vista Black ultimate V2. i took off the facebook gadget from the left side for the pic.

Sorry to plead nerd ignorance here... what is windows "black"? Google results say it's basically a pirated edition of windows. Am I missing something?

Its a pirated version with various needed programs, drivers, themes, and OS alterations slipstreamed in. It actually runs suprisingly fast, and cuts out a lot of hassle of installing all the shit like 7zip and the like when you reinstall the OS. A lot of people, even with legal versions already, use it.

Yeah, my windows vista is legal, but i use black in conjunction with that registered code, so i can update, etc. it is jsut that much better to me, and runs exceedingly well, with everything I need pretty much there for my laptop.

I'd have stayed with 7 on this laptop, but unfortunately, MSI has not fully integrated 64 bit drivers for it, and there were a few quirks here and there, so i went back to vista to get full functionality out of it, and black just helped even more.

Just imagine that image stretched back down to 1800X1440, that's my desktop.

EDIT: Before anyone asks, no it's not a fake image - it's ferrofluid.

Which version is Vista Black? I have a Vista Business license, will that work with it?

I may throw in another hard drive and dual boot XP & Vista again.

There are some really great wallpapers here (GB posted some freakin' fantastic ones, and no, I don't mean the NSFW ones) and I'd love a program that switches the wallpaper every time I put the computer to hibernate.

My current (albeit much clean up) desktop:


I only started with this one a few days ago, but I really dig it. I've been trying to paint this pose on and off for nearly two months; to find this picture (on my hard drive, no less), after I'd tried and failed so many times... :bush: ... it was ironic, to say the least.

Before this, it was that large iceberg pic someone posted a while back, then Chewbacca, and before that a 3D space scene I had for months.

Now that I've downloaded that smart wallpaper program, I figure my desktop will change a lot more often.
