If anyone happens to catch me singing in my car... for example, "Just the Two of Us"... while on my way home from work... and stuck in traffic beside eachother....my immediate reaction is to stare at them back unblinking and still singing with passion and point at them...so it is equally awkward for both of us.

MOTD = Moment of the Day

This one's from the other day.

On a traffic stop.

"Officer, I'm still getting used to the acceleration in my new car [2012 Mustang GT 5.0]. I don't know where that other corvette came from [other driver has 2 previous convictions for street racing]."

"I can see how that might happen, sir. Please step out of the car, turn around, and put your hands behind your back."

Too bad he didn't make a run for it. You aren't allowed to pursue!

"Not allowed to," and "Don't" are two entirely different things...

Well, it's too funny to be fake and too fucked up to be true, but this happened yesterday.

I was at work with one of the new(er) people and I ended up assisting this girl who had a... not.. so symmetrical face.. it was kind of bad, honestly, but it's not like I'm gonna be all mean or something. However, she had on a certain article of clothing that caught my attention. After she left, I asked my co-worker if he'd ever seen Goonies.

The girl.. looked like sloth (not making this up) and she had a superman shirt on.

These things can't be coincidence!

Every day at work since the 11th. Since my job is being downsized, my work is no longer going to be used, and they gave me 60 days in office, I have literally nothing to do all day. I have been catching up on tv shows, playing wow, and basically doing nothing for the last 2 weeks at work, getting paid, and anytime someone comes over and thinks to give me shit, I just give em a level look until they go away.

Not yet. Have had a few interviews, and resumes been updated and sent out. In the wait mode now. If I do not find anything before I leave, I have 11 weeks severance for 5 and a half years there, and unemployment to hold me over while I continue my search. But as for the fuckers in my current department? Meh. My boss, and the director are also being let go with the corporate restructure, so there is no one who gives a shit what happens before the axe hits on Jan 10.

The best is I am actualy get an award for the 2nd year in a row for all my hard work and effort for the entire Northeast (it was determined before this whole shit), and they gave it to me 3 days after the whole "oh yeah, you have 60 days, peace out!"

Although, there is an analyst job with the RNOC I am hopeful for, that would be about 2 grades higher, and I keep my time, benefits, vacation, etc. But again, I have to wait to see how that whole thing comes out. Its a whole different section of the company.

Hmm. I've been here 7 years... wonder what my severance package would be like. Though, I doubt they'd fire me. I'm the only one who knows how the servers work, though the engineer could probably figure it out if given enough time (which is something he does not have much of).

Depends on the company, most are either 2, and in some cases, 3, per year, roughly.
