Couldn't post in the old thread, so I decided to make this one.
Anyone playing this? I recentely started and am having fun but there's a million questions I have on basic things. I played EQ from Vanilla to Lost Dungeons but remember very little. Anyone out there?

On a break from the game at the moment (put way way way to much RL time in post Kunkar) but I have played since they launched the server. What do you need to know?

I've long since lost my EQ disks or I might have thought about popping in for a look.

There are ways to find the required client easily.....
Probably, but I'm lazy and I already have a backlog of games to play.

If someone can help me find the titanium client I'll try it

Never mind I found it at a certain harbor for sea-faring people that don't sail under any nations flag.

Just started playing some this past week. This one interested me cause I was looking for that nostalgia I had wayyy back when. Starting out as a human mage in FP (yeah... human.. wanna make something of it?) And yes, I specifically went out of my way to change things to the cheesy midi music that plays during loading & combat.
I forgot how bad the game originally SUUUUUUCKED when you were a complete newb with no way to twink yourself & didn't really know anybody. I started a HE mage this time. Left Gfay & headed to the EC area cause that was what I knew. Then I started remembering all the stuff that made the early levels easier, which of course were all put in around the PoP, or even Luclin era. No newbie armor quests. Having to do corpse runs @ lvl 2. No PoK port stones. No Nexus spires. No Bazaar (even though I have no money).
We'll see how far I go before the grind really gets to me. One of the other things that's gettin me is I can't get the UI set up right. Since it's a modified server, you can't just plug in new updated UI's. So I am currently using a UI from a user named Duxa. That one gets closest to what I want, but the buff bar is tiny & vertical, when I want something more like the default ui with it horizontal at the top of the screen. Also - after thinking about it, I think my most enjoyable time in EQ was shortly after PoP came out. Easiest to get around & the PoP advancement system helped keep some of the riff raff down.
Like I said, we'll see how long it holds my interest. HE Mage named Bennyhaha.
