Prostitution now totally legal in Ontario

While prostitution has always been legal in Canada, the laws forbidding all actions surrounding it have now been declared unconstitutional.

Ontario court rules prostitution laws 'unconstitutional' - Canada - Canoe.ca

The challengers to the law won on a basis that it is a health risk to not allow their legal trade to not be regulated and controlled.

Will this decision result in Ontario becoming the new bawdy house of North America?

It already isn't? My buddy who went to Rochester said it was pretty standard to just hop over to canada when you felt like paying a stripper for a blowjob.

The act of receiving money for sex has never been illegal, just all the methods of facilitating. These are what have now been stricken.

The lack of regulation makes me worry about the safety that would be provided. I kinda approve the European Red Light District model. It is in one place of town, with standards, safety, and health issues covered.

I've never once been to the peelers without being told that I could take one home for the night for between 400-1000 bucks.

NOT FUCKING ONCE.

I gotta be honest I have never heard a strip club be called 'peelers'.

My favorite term for Strip Club (Completely Nude) is "Shoe Shoe" with "Shoe Models."
