PS3 retail sales overtake 360?

Yeah, a friend of mine informed me of that a few days ago when he bought Costume Quest for 360. My bad. I think Live gets it a bit later or something.

I picked the Ps3 over the 360 because of history. I loved the PS, and in the last gen, I had the ps2. I eventually traded that for an xbox, and hated it. There weren't many of the games I liked on the xbox. I just extrapolated that, true or not, to the current gen. Plus the blu-ray. OtherOS had something to do with my decision, too, so imagine my disappointment when I found out it was gone in the latest software.

I bought an Insignia Blue ray player for a little more than 60 bucks. I think it does everything: BDLive (never use) Netflix (use once in awhile) Firmware updates. I'm not sure what other features are out there, but I don't think I'm missing out on anything - or rather, if there IS a feature I'm not getting, it's highly unlikely that I'd actually use it.

I held out on buying one for a really long time. Basically, high cost with little gain. Yes, I get they are much higher resolution than a basic DVD, but it was never a big enough difference to make me demand a new player.
