Even a broken clock is right twice a day, or some such. Make enough panels like that and some will fall in the right place by random chance.

Pfft. I'll do you one better. Scott's already done the joke (or variations of it) three times previously in PvP - '98, '01, and '03.

I just saw the last few comics... granted I'm literally like 6 years behind or something, but I thought the only "change" to reality was Ethan died, and then we see liek flash forwards of what happened to the rest. Oh man, I'm sorry, but that pacing and writing is crap. The drawing got much better than I remembered it though.

Okay, I admit this freely. Today's comic was funny. Hee hee hee, poor treant/ent... 
Yeah this ending could've worked for me, but this story-line just came out of fucking no-where. I'll admit I felt sad when Ethan was saying good-bye to Lilah, but I can't stop thinking that this story started out AS A SILLY VIDEO GAME STORY-LINE! Terrible, TERRIBLE transition.
Isn't harmless fun turning deadly like tragedy 101 though?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, good point. I guess it could be all-right, but I still feel on the fence about the whole thing.

Also Brent...complaining about online gamers being akin to frat boys? I wouldn't mind as much if not for his serious ass face making him look like he's actually making a point that hasn't been pointed out. Brent doesn't give off the same aura he did back in the early years of the strip. It seems like the only thing remaining of his original persona would be his relationship with Jade, all other remnants of his character are WASHED away. Him being an artist: GONE! Hilarious get rich quick schemes: DONEZO! Brent saying something mean and then gaining physical harm- GODFATHER 3!Those iconic sunglasses that were a staple part of his design and was a terrible fucking idea to change it to him having normal glasses because his sunglasses worked for him: GONE!
He still does rants though, but what differs from then and now is that back then one of the characters would give him a rebuttal and he would possibly pay for his actions. Now, he just does a rant and...nothing happens. Like in every other web-comic that exists he has become one of those fucking characters who rants about some stupid bull-shit and nobody gives him a retort. People disagreeing with Brent and Brent gaining physical harm were some of the funniest parts of the strip.
This has been Mickee kvetching about PvP for the ubteenth time, SIGNING OFF!

Isn't it kind of ironic that he's diving back into gaming jokes right after publicly lambasting Tim Buckley for doing the same thing? I mean, that's just odd timing, right?

It would be if Kurtz was killing off his long running main characters to reboot the strip with minor, background characters, which is what he publicly lambasted Buckley about.

It's a character in WoW who literally does nothing but sit by a lake all day and drink. He will give you tips on what crops to plant. Later, if you befriend him enough, he moves to your farm...and sits by the lake there all day. He has many quests to give you and all but one of them have you getting him different types of drinks.

Jogu's race lives an entire zone away, and he sits at a rancid puddle surrounded by dead fish doing nothing but get sloshed by himself. The only quest he gives you is to bring him more booze, and for a price he'll drunkenly slur what crops will harvest best on your farm the next day.
