Most people on the forums here probably watched wrestling at LEAST once in their lifetime to know "ooooooh yeah!" Macho Man Randy Savage.

He died in a car accident today. :(

UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol has spoken with TMZ, and here are more details. Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median. He then went through oncoming traffic and collided head on with a tree. Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries. Savage's wife Lynn was in the car with him, and survived the crash with minor injures. She had been transported to a different hospital for treatment. Officials have stated that Randy and Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident and that alcohol was not a factor.

ORIGINAL: According to TMZ, Randy "Macho Man" Savage died in a car accident earlier today in Tampa, FL. Lanny Poffo spoke with TMZ and stated that his brother suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 10AM today, and from there lost control of his vehicle. Savage, 58, just celebrated his one-year wedding anniversary to wife Lynn earlier this month.

On behalf of 411, I would like to extend my condolences to the family, friends and fans of Randy Savage.

NOW it makes sense! I saw a tweet today that read, "Macho Man Randy Savage has been raptured!" I didn't get it.

Now I kind of think it was a dickish tweet.

He was one of my favorite wrestlers back in the 80's. RIP Macho Man.

He always struck me as so funny because he looks like he is most comfortable in 10 year old jeans and a flanel shirt, while spending many hours out in the woods hunting and fishing...

Then they dress him up in a ton of day-glo for his day job.

He epitomized the greatness of professional wrestling and the notion that no one is interested in seeing a guy just like themselves wrestle, they came out tonight for a show!

The guy was a fantastic performer. More personality in five minutes in the ring than some jobbers have in their whole career. Love him or hate him, the dude added a lot of excitement to the ring. I think he and Hulk Hogan really were what made the WWF get so big.

We are gonna dedicate our set tomorrow night to the Macho Man. We might even have a moment of fake violence on his behalf.
