UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol
has spoken with TMZ, and here are more details. Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median. He then went through oncoming traffic and collided head on with a tree. Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries. Savage's wife Lynn was in the car with him, and survived the crash with minor injures. She had been transported to a different hospital for treatment. Officials have stated that Randy and Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident and that alcohol was not a factor.
