Like 5 times now I read between the OP and CDS's post, and I still fail to see where anyone made fun of homosexuals. Anyway, it'd be pretty biased not to, since we make fun of heterosexuals regularly, too, on the basis of their heterosexual relationships. Objectively "fair" means the good and the bad.
