I set a goal for myself to just do quick stuff so i don't rage quit like i did last year.

I will be traveling this month, but i've made...plans for some quick drawing stuff.

I think i'm doing more of these in a long canvas. Also, greetings from China. The future of time. February 1.

TROLOLOL. Oh man, the feb forum we are brewing on has 300 members and insane pros and it makes me want to cry.

But it also makes me extremely busy as my job was to give everyone a welcome comment and say something about their art. That was 300 posts... It was mostly boner jokes but i am exhausted. And i want to be all comments here but i am just toast right now with the drawing and commenting. I have checked out everyones thread though. And they are all rocking me baby long time hard (sorry. i haven't gotten the penis jokes out of me yet. THATSWHATSHESAID. GAHHHHHH. Never ending)

So yeah, here's some stuff from today.

it was requested at the other challenge forum to draw 8 boobs on one paper. I guess people want more of the old stuff and less of this new, experimental cultural arts stuff.

So i caved and drew it, without much thought. I'm going to Singapore tomorrow so i didn't have a lot of time to get this down. Planning, packing, and stuff. I might post early tomorrow since my flight leaves at around six pm. So maybe two in the afternoon-ish. It's gonna be another quick one. So be prepared for less grandiose.

lololol. I'm going to redo chun li since that was actually the first time i've ever drawn her before. I think i will make a real nike advertisement for her.

Today, i did two ten minute sketches on 8x11 using a pencil. I told cognoman my plan and he said the materials and size of paper weren't the best choices. i agree.

here are the sketches, the first one i had no idea what i would be drawing. The second one, i attempted to draw the character again. (surge, new xmen)

and then i finished the first one. because i wanted to actually finish something today. Another twenty minutes pencil render.

I plan for colors if my computer stops doing suicide. I also edited this, because grammar happened.

i did nothing today except forum troll and watch the office. P.S colors while watching season four episodes.

Another forumite also asked me for a reference when i requested he draw me strangling another forumite. Confusing. Anyways, somebody else then suggested i should instead be kissing.

And i completely agreed. So i took two reference photos.

How do you get that aged look on things? I always make edges look too perfect. Like Hobgoblin's mask or her glove. Jealous.

you kinda answered your own question. If you want something to look aged, think about the kind of natural wear the object might experience. Like go all Bob Ross on it and talk it out. That's what i do.

So using the gauntlet, I'd be like, "Why don't we add a little ding right here? maybe where she punched someone after they made an insensitive remark about japanese culture. heh heh. happy dings. And how about we go righhhhhht here and just make this contour a little more crumbly. maybe she scrapes it on the wall in the x-mansion? We probably should add some cut marks here for when she had a sweet little scuffle with X-23. Not too many. Just.... here.... and ..... how about here? Now, how about some mustard stains from that time they took a trip to the zoo?"

I actually don't talk it out like that, but that would be kinda amusing.

I got a little sidetracked tonight. Maybe finish this up and color tomorrow. Gonna slim down that wrist a bit more/give her a giant X-glove.

Materials: A4 computer paper and HB drawing pencils (I use two different brands. One is a bit softer than the other. But they're both chinese so i have no idea what the brand name is). That's it really. In the states i was utilizing pencils F to B for drawings.
