On the drive back from lunch, I saw a car ahead of me and to the left that had not one, not two, but THREE confederate flags on it. This, while noteworthy, isn't exactly unheard of. So as we approached a red light, I moved into the right lane to see who was driving - expecting some mulleted, skoal-spitting, ballcap-festooned caricature. Imagine my surprise when I found that half the occupants were black. I wish I'd been privy to the story of what's going on there, but even if I had the opportunity to ask, it just seems like the kind of situation that would end up badly.

I would not have expected that either. One of the flags didn't have the "Heritage, not hate" thing on it, did it?
