*updated 7/26/13*

I had an idea in my head for a shirt last night so I decided to make another one.
I am really happy with how it turned out. I think I may take a break for a week or so before I make another shirt (unless some serious inspiration strikes).

-----------------------------------------------------------

I made two new shirts tonight, I did two different takes on a Wolverine stencil. Sadly the second one bleed a bit on the claws but other than that I think they turned out very nicely.

I recently decided to make some shirts since I hadn't gotten around to it for awhile.

I finished two more shirts today and I thought I would share them with you all :)

First up is a Claymore shirt

I did mess up on the face a bit but I think it still turned out fairly well.

Next up was a Cowboy Bebop shirt

I decided to try my hand at making some stencil bleach shirts today and I thought I would share them.

(just as a side note some of the little white dots you see are just a few fuzzies and not bleach drips)

This was my first attempt and sadly I messed up on the E and the V a little bit.

Here was my second attempt

For my third attempt I decided to retry the same design as the first and I managed to fix the E and the V but the N bleed a little.

I was going to do a MLP shirt but I really wanted to get the NERV logo looking right and I only had 3 blank t-shirts. After I get some more blank t-shirts I will probably go for a MLP design.

I am trying to decide on what to do for the next shirt. I was looking at some Cowboy Bebop stencils

but I can't decide for sure so any suggestions would be welcome. :)

If I were to do a Cowboy Bebop stencil, I would do the silhouettes of Spike, Jet, Faye and Edd from the end of the opening credits.
Failing that, the first stencil of Spike there is better.

I think this would make a pretty sweet stencil.
That is an awesome pic!

I am not sure if I can get the same effect for the blotchy edges but I think I can get it to still look nice. My thoughts for the edges would be that I can either scrunch up the edges a bit for the shirt and spray and hope for the best or I can try using a paint brush to apply the bleach for the edges and hope it looks alright. Maybe I will make two shirts and try both ideas.

So that pic shall be my next attempt :)

You could also try using a couple different shapes for the background stencil and work in layers using a very diluted solution. You'd just have to be careful to block out Spike. Or more simply, just flick the edge of a paintbrush (wet, but not totally saturated with solution) and build up where appropriate.

I was looking trying to find a Claymore stencil to do as well but sadly I didn't find any decent one. So I decided to try and make my own stencil.

I started with this

And I ended up with the following

This is my first attempt at making my own stencil so any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

I put this info on the top but just in case someone just skipped to the bottom here it is again (plus it bumps the thread :) )

I am glad you guys like the shirts. I was initially worried when making the Cowboy Bebop one cause I wasn't sure if it was going to turn out the way I wanted it. But I am very happy with the end results :)

I like it very much ^.^ It'll unwrinkle soon 'nuff (or at least to the level of all my other clothes, not like I own an iron board).

I was really concerned you may not like it when I originally made it so I am really glad that you like the shirt.

Are you kidding? The only way it could have been improved on would have been with a Triela-based design, but I love the shirt as it is. It occasionally serves under my uniform, too

I take it you treat the shirt after bleaching to neutralize the bleach so it doesn't dissolve the shirt eventually?

After about ten minutes I soak the shirt in cold water and than throw it into the dryer until it is completely dry. The shirts seem to hold up just fine, I have a couple that are two years old and they are still in good shape.

I usually find the stencils online but I have had to create my own from existing images or at least edit them a bit for several of my shirts. The video below is a very good introduction to the process. If you have any questions after watching the video feel free to ask and I would be more than willing to answer them to the best of my ability.
