SSL Certificate Update

I just got notified that the SSL certificate will expire on the 20th of this month, so I have to redo it. When this happens there's always an interruption in connectivity. Not sure when I'm going to do it, but I'll make an announcement before I do it and I work overnights so it'll affect the least amount of people - sorry to my non-American peeps.

Probably do it early next week or next weekend.

Oh so that's how it is, huh? Why I never! You stick around a forum for a couple of decades and that's the thanks you get! I have half a mind to demand to speak to the manager!

But seriously though, it's cool, you do what needs to be done, I'll just be sitting here pressing F5 every couple of minutes.

At least I acknowledged you exist. A lot of American sites just think everyone on the internet is from the states.

I don't miss the days when I had to do 20 or so in a night. Then my FTP server, I had to get 30 or so vendors on a group phone call and tell them live when I made the change, so they can change all their scripts that connected to my server.

Looks like it might be overnight tonight if I can. My email stopped receiving. Which could be a pain. If I think about it, of course. No email is kinda nice.

As of almost 10pm EST, it still says expiration date of Sun, 19 Jan 2025 23:59:59 GMT.

I didn't do it yet. I was going to but my email seems to be working fine now and I kinda don't have the cash for the certs until next paycheck, when I have all pay no bills. This week was all bills and holiday pay. That's how it goes, you know.

You know you can just put up a donate link with how much is needed and we'll have it paid within an hour.

If I ever do that it'll be because I'm real need. One thing I've always been leery about here is taking advantage of my position. It's one reason I got rid of ads a long time ago.

Something seems to be off, though.
We didn't lose 3 months of posts, the forum wasn't down for 2 days, and I'm not suddenly seeing ads. I'm not convinced anything changed.

EDIT: Removing the security exception in Firefox seems to have fixed it.

The last vestiges of the DNS fuckery are still shaking themselves out. Should resolve over time, though you may have to clear cache.

Firefox seemed to hang onto the incorrect IP longer for some reason. I could go to the correct page in another browser while Firefox continued to bring up the error page. Quitting and restarting Firefox resolved that.

I am not able to replicate in Firefox nor Safari, even with all restrictions at max. I do not use Chromium to be able to test.

Yeah, that seems to have done it, after clearing the cache didn't seem to work.

Ok, switching to Firefox seems to fix it, but this is what Chrome mobile looks like
