Windows 7 and 8 now dead for gaming, as new Steam update pulls support
After a recent update, Steam is no longer working on the Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems, and users will finally need to upgrade.

It's just further cemented my conviction that this is my last windows-based gaming PC. If and when this current one gives up the ghost, I'll just be steam deckin' it going forward. And if I can't play the latest first person shooters, then so be it. 90% of what I play is indie pixelart crap anyway.

Yeah, I know. I got the notification a few months ago, and moved to windows 10 semi-permanently.
