She looks like she's taking pictures for her next hit album. They're great! Except that one with the creepy guy. lol

Since Dave has the copyright for the photos he said I could post this stuff I made for him.

and
and

yes, if you look at the image properties I misspelled mosaic... I fail.

Ok, those are freaking cool.

Wasabi Poptart

Those are neat! I really like the heart, but then again I like stuff with hearts anyway.

jesus, that's a lot of pictures! how the hell much did you shell out for that package?

#12

Dave

Dave

The photographer took about 1300 pictures. We'll be able to buy a printed package for about $600 of the top 4 or so we like. We get the rest on a disk and we own the copyright.

Hey Dave. I'm your cousin from your mothers uncles brothers twice removed roomates step mother and I'm stuck in Canada with no money. Can you western union me 500 usd so I can get home?

#15

Dave

Dave

Why is that so hard to understand? The few pictures are used to determine which ones come in the package with the wallets, 8x10's, etc. We get the remaining on disk to do with as we please and can order individual prints of any of the 1300 pictures if we want.

Trust me, this is a great deal and is not a scam in the least. Photographer is a buddy of mine and he did Zach's pictures, too. Anyone else with this deal and it would be thousands of dollars.

Woah my senior pictures cost like 50 bucks. I only got like 4 different ones. No way my mom could spend that much just for pictures.

Same here. I took like 3 poses, and I remember finding a bunch of them sitting in a drawer like a year later.

That looks like real time spent with a real photographer, not just standing in a studio with some dick with a camera telling the same 5 jokes 15 times a day. $400 is actually pretty cheap.

I didn't mean to imply the guy was scamming you Dave, sorry if you got that vibe. I was just saying I wanted 500 bucks.

Photography is the biggest crock of shit of a profession. The fact is that any and every asshole with a 1000 dollar camera nowadays is a good photographer.

The whole graduation hoopla is bordering on a racket. Here you need a ring, here you need pics, a party, a gown, a blah a blah a blah a blah. And it is all forgotten a few years later. I asked my friend a few days ago if she got a class ring. She said no. Neither did I and at the time I was heartbroken now I know that if I had gotten one it would have been a huge waste of money. Companies prey on people's sentimentality.

Yeah, I bought a class ring for 300 bucks from Jostens. Guess where it is? Melted down ten years later, after I hocked it for 100 bucks.

Well, anyone can take a decent high-quality image, sure. But it takes a bit more know-how and potentially equipment to take really striking photos.

Looks to me like Dave got his money's worth ...

I don't agree. If you have a slight knack for spacial arrangement and an expensive digital camera -bam- you're a photographer. The majorly good ones take shots from amazing vantages, but photography is really just about having a camera that can take like 20 shots a second.

My wife's aunt, for example, did the photos for our wedding as our gift. She's neither a professional photographer, nor has she done anything like a wedding; but she had a 1000 dollar camera that she was dying to try out. Our pictures look great and just as good as every other wedding album I've ever seen. We have the negatives, so my wife was able to blow up and use any pictures she was interested in.

I disagree, based on the fact that my mother takes awful pictures no matter what she's using...

Sounds like you're happy with the deal, Dave. I assume she's quite happy with the pictures as well. None of them feel like Senior pictures, which is something I hated and still hate about them...so staged. The pictures felt like a photoshoot for a CD release or something, as someone else pointed out. Good deal.

Looks good Dave. A lot better than how my senior photo came out:

Also regarding the "if u have expensive camera ur a good photographer" argument everyones having a blast with... what the hell I don't even.:Leyla:
But seriously, this thread is about Dave's daughters graduation pictures. Not a fight over something dumb. Drop it or go start your own thread if you want to argue.

Hey guys don 't argue in this thread after I'm done arguing.

I asked people to not derail the thread with their arguments. If you have a problem with that feel free to pm us mods and we can discuss it. Leave Dave's thread out of it.

Whoa relax there mamajamma, I don't think anyone's blowing any gaskets except you.

My senior photos were taken at my school. I got to wear a black drape and the photographer took 5 poses. Also, one of the math teachers owned the photography company.

I made a wrong turn to get to the photographer's place, so I got there late and had to wait for a classmate of mine who had a one hour photo session, including pictures with his sister. Once I was able to go I was out of there in 10 minutes.

My mom's a hobbyist photographer, and a friend of her's is a professional. My friends and I got our prom photos for free, albeit with a limited number of prints.
