Do people sometimes get people's posts answering another post but it doesn't appear on Tapatalk v1? It usually happens on the top of a new page where you click on page back and the references of that person doesn't exist on the mobile app?
I go to my PC and check and it seems like Tapatalk tends to skip about 2-3 posts between page flips.
It's doing this on a lot of threads, possibly all.
Minor issue of course but irritable as

I probably have to update the client. It seems it happens a lot. Updating that is. It's a pain in the ass.

Just testing to see if word filter works on tapatalk since double post merge doesn't.
It's got to be one of these. Just rolled the plugin back to the older version of TapaTalk. Nothing.
Gotta be the SSL or server move.

Prolly the SSL.
Given the choice between Tapatalk and SSL, I'll take SSL.

I've said something at the TapaTalk forums. Maybe there's something I have to do that I'm missing now that there's SSL. I mean, other TapaTalk sites have SSL with no issues.

Could be there's just a setting in Tapatalk's prefs that enables SSL.

It works for me now

Works for me too. I removed the forum and added it again.

Works for me as well once I did that. Good call guys. It had to be the SSL, then.

What a dumb fix. Thanks guys!

Actually it kinda makes sense. SSL implementation would probably involve a change of ports, so it only stands to reason that the entry in the client would need to be refreshed with the new port. The stupid part is that tapatalk's servers (I assume they have some acting as matchmakers) don't automatically handle that change.
This is the kind of fix that I would expect to be necessary on a DCC IRC client, or old e-mail client... not a mobile app that presumably phones home with every use.

That's true enough, I guess. Normal web goes over port 80, but SSL prefers port 443.

I was told by TapaTalk that after we did the SSL it takes about 24 hours to clear everything through the cache and what we did by refreshing was to subvert that time. So it would have worked eventually.

I hope so. Work was so boring today with no forum access.

Didn't change anything, and it's working again.

Resurrecting an old thread to say that I've updated Tapatalk and decided it was worth my time to pay $5 a month to remove advertising. So not only will you no longer see ads, when you post it shouldn't say, "Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk" or anything like that.
I suppose I could have tested it...

Testing, testing! 1, 2, 3!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[DOUBLEPOST=1502501650,1502501625][/DOUBLEPOST]Fuck.

Dave
Testing again.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[DOUBLEPOST=1502501784,1502501740][/DOUBLEPOST]Fuck again. They said it was supposed to turn off. I wonder if I have to turn it off and on again like I did before.

Last try before I hit the support desk. (drum roll please)[DOUBLEPOST=1502501944,1502501862][/DOUBLEPOST]That did it. I had to completely exit the app and get back into it.
So there you have it. Once you get out of the app completely (remember on Apple devices stuff stays on behind the scenes) when you come back in you'll have NO ads and it will NOT post that you did it on mobile.

...but it'll still only be half as useful as just using the site.
