For Christmas I got a Barnes & Nobles $50 gift card and went to use it. While fishing my usual reads I came upon an interesting looking/titled book called Across the Face of the World by Russell Kirkpatrick. The cover was okay and the blurb on the back was very short and gave nothing much away. I took it home & started reading it.
Holy crap! This series is great! It's not as heavy as George R.R. Martin or as fucking confusing as the Malazan series, but I would rank it up there with them as far as good reading goes.
The series is called "The Fires of Heaven" and the series is worth picking up. Have any of you read this?
