I could never get into The Guild... it's basically about the concept I hate most in an MMO guild - drama that takes away from the actual playing of the game.

The Guild is goofy fun, I like it. The stereotypes of people are pretty universal lol.. I think we've all been in guilds or clans where some of these personality types are people in the guild.
And of course, Vork owns all.

I love that the auto-tune guys did the recap. It actually kind of half made me want to watch seasons 2 and 3 of the Guild now. (I stopped at the end of Season 1)

I wasn't crazy about The Guild at first, but I found it does get progressively better. Last season was defintely a big improvement from the first. And from what I've watched of Season 4 so far, it's gotten even better.
Of course, Will Wheton is now a part of the cast and I believe helping to co-write some parts, so that could help. *grin*

Yeah, this and for some reason I get super turned off at stuff that exists to pander to geeks and nerds. Shows like Big Bang Theory and the like.[/QUOTE]
But is it really pandering? The whole reason Felicia Day was able to create The Guild is by using her own past experiences dealing with an MMO addiction. I don't think it counts as pandering if it's done by somebody who has an earnest connection to the source material.

I've never seen Big Bang Theory, but do you feel the same about "The I.T. Crowd" britcom?

I've liked what I've seen of The I.T. Crowd (which is not a lot) but my enjoyment of the episode I've seen came from watching their boss get into a fist fight with a post op transexual while the girl explained to the audience that her little black box contained the entire internet. If the rest of the series is as zany as that one, it probably gets away with it.
