Hey, I'm in with the freaks. I would protest, but then I saw the idea of a entire land populated by Bjorks, and found myself intrigued. :eyebrows:

Trust me, the intrigue will wear off once you realize the only human voices you hear sound like a constipated blue whale.

Grrrr. Assholes, you say?
I'd take it as a compliment. Assholes are generally what assertive, successful people are called by lazy, inbred, corrupt and broken people. Heh.
Harumph. I accept the premise, but I still say I dislike the moniker.

I think this map should have marked the Southwest as illegal immigrants, if we're going to go by stereotypes. ;)

Besides, the meth thing applies to Arizona just as illegal immigrants do.

I cracked up when I saw that Somalia was a "libertarian's wet dream."

I don't know if it's the Southwest or the whole country, but I swear to god if I hear one more ad about how bad meth is, I'm going to lose it. That and shaking babies.

Must be a southwest thing. Around here I never see ads about meth or shaking babies. But then again I live in the "Stoners" heartland, so that might be the reason.

I'm actually intrigued by the inbred thing over the UK and Republic of Ireland. Seems more of a deep-south USA or areas of Asia thing. I thought the stereotypical UK/ROI thing was bad teeth and food.

Based on first-hand experience, Irish food was good although pretty damn heavy. Meat, gravy, potatoes, some steamed veggies, repeat.

Madagascar = Closed Ports, That's freaking hilarious. What was the name of that game? Pandemic?

I couldn't get the image at work so I started googling "Map of Stereotypes" and there are a lot of these, all very funny.

The inbred thing has to do with your royals and upper classes. And it's a couple of islands that did not get much fresh DNA from the Norman Invasion till the end of the Empire.

Freaks & Geeks as the TV Michigan? If we're going obscure,t here were several RoboCop TV shows. If we want to be realistic, I point out that Home Improvement took place in Detroit and involved going up north at least once. So there. :p

On the other hand, Freaks and Geeks mentioned Faygo, the quintessential Michigan pop brand.

Hmmm. Funny how the brain works. When I looked at Florida I was expecting to see Dexter. Then I saw Golden Girls instead. Then I started thinking about a cross-over between Dexter and Golden Girls.

Man, I think I just re-defined the word 'epic'.

I would have thought that Illinois would be Married, With Children. I even remember Chicago asking them to use another city.

Awww, Coach?? How about Mary Tyler Moore?
Sorry, I guess the poster was not interested in ancient history.
OK, I DID laugh at this post, but I'd like to point out that the Andy Griffith Show predates MTM by 10 years (which is on the map)
But nothing has happened in NC since Andy left Mayberry.
No way, without Andy, NC has become a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Well, they do have some nice beaches though.
