Yes, there are mosquitos the size of a single prop Cessna. However, the island Kauhua'a has the highest per capita redhead population in the western hemisphere.

You haven't been keeping up with international news, have you? Ireland had huge emigration problem following the 2008 crash; the only thing left there are Google and Microsoft's server farms and a bunch of Vietnamese network engineers to keep them running.The rest decided one island nation's as good as another, and they shipped themselves to Hawaii over the past few years.

However, what he didn't tell you is that the mosquitoes migrated from Australia.

Since there's a dengue fever outbreak the answer is most definitely. They cut the vector control agency down to something like two people for the whole state a few years ago to try to save money. Now they're seeing why that was a bad idea.
