OMG, Charlie and I like the same viral media! I can't even!

Will this be the bridge that causes us to come together in a spirit of friendship and cooperation? Will we find ourselves sitting outside a steamy Austin starbucks drinking our iced orange mocha frappuchinos while wearing cargo shorts and crocks? Is this the start of a wonderful friendship?

:D

I don't understand why people are loving this so much. I couldn't even stand watching the whole thing, and instead skipped ahead, to where it gets unnecessarily dark because...comedy? The space stuff is clever, I guess, but I just don't see why this is so popular.

I had trouble the first time because I thought the joke was that it was just so long. I never got to any of the darker parts. Now I've watched the whole thing and think it's amusing.

And I think this is popular enough to warrant its own thread. Or at least it was at one point.

It takes a lot to make a stew....

I love that Kilrogg is in low level green mail gear.

Also, the first time I saw Too Many Cooks I couldn't figure out why I was so attracted to Katie Adkins (other than the fact that she's very attractive) then it struck me that she's a dead ringer for that friend I was having dreams about that I wrote about in the dream thread a while back.

I literally turned it off 20 seconds before it went dark, and had the exact same reaction. At first it was like watching someone mock my entire childhood, and then it was watching someone with a sick sense of humor mock my entire childhood. I definitely preferred the latter.

Because "OMG, nostalgia, it's referencing things from my childhood and mocking them!"[DOUBLEPOST=1415986275,1415986207][/DOUBLEPOST]Personally, I prefer this version:

My favorite part is the end when the show "starts", goes on for five seconds, then ends.

It's a spot on style parody of just about every sitcom and sci-fi I remember watching in the 80s. Feels like a bit of Family Ties mixed in with Full House, Perfect Strangers, Silver Spoons, Gimme a Break, Punky Brewster, Mr. Belvedere, Cheers, Charles in Charge, Too Close for Comfort, Family Matters, ALF, Growing Pains, and all that with nods to 80s cop shows, primetime dramas Falcon Crest and Dallas, and of course Knight Rider and Battlestar Galactica.

I was fairly drunk when I first saw it. Kind of freaked me out.

I think that's part of its impact. It feel like something to freak you out if you've pulled an all-nighter and are still awake, are really drunk or high, or are just waking up and you left the TV on last night.

This video was freakin' amazing. I didn't realize I had seen so many sitcoms and prime time programming in my life.
