Haha, assault by the police on unarmed, subdued protesters. Just can't get enough.
 
UC Davis is a public school, IIRC, so the salary tables should be public. You should be able to find out what his salary was.

Good thing they found a scapegoat! Now they won't have to change their procedures and policies.
Are you talking about the procedures and policies that he didn't follow when he used a non-authorized pepperspray device in a situation that did not call for pepperspray at a range that was well understood to be unsafe?

He broke a ton of rules. I mean....in what world would a cop think it's OK to bring non-authorized weapons?
 
And because they found all those rules he violated, and discharged him successfully, the school and police have no further liability nor reason to change.

Why would you change policies in response to someone causing trouble by violating existing policies? They did the right thing. He violate policies, he was terminated. That's all you need.
 
The problem is that there's nothing to argue about, so we're making stuff up as we go along.
