Kongregate's got a little quiz for you then. I could only get 45 out or 93, but I blame that on the quiz being concole-centric when I was primarily a PC gamer post-8bit era.

Yes, very much so, but I've never touched a console, so I doubt I'd score very high. And since a lot of the questions are music-based, adn I can't play sound here at work, eh.

So far I've only gotten 5. There's been a couple more that I recognize but can't place.
I went from Genesis to Playstation though, never had an SNES and I'm guessing that's going to be where the majority come from.
*EDIT *I feel a special, odd sense of self satisfaction for recognizing the NES DuckTales song.

and I now, and almost always have, played games on mute...
We played games on one tv and watched movies on another at the same time.

Early '90s console gamer (half the '90s had Playstation and Nintendo 64 in it).
I feel like I cheated on some since I recognized tunes from movies/TV shows. And even then I had to use the hunts too much for my score to be worth anything. I recognized most of them, but couldn't place them until seeing screenshots.
Had to use hints for some, but I'm to 29 points so far. Even with screenshots, I still have no clue about some of them.

After my first run-through (and 3 hints) I have risen to 13%. Whee.

Using no hints, I got 7.
Using some hints, and Eriol's commentary, we got 23.
May return to it later to try and get some more.

Cool Spot is on there. I recognized the music.
And I remembered a time in my life I was so bored that I played Cool Spot for hours. I didn't have fun. But I played anyway because I had nothing better to do.

I think that's how a lot of - in retrospect - terrible games were classics for me. Nightmare on Elm St. and Friday the 13th come to mind.

Oh my god I am sitting here and I recognize this music and can't remember the names of the games they go to and it's depressing me. I can see myself playing the games even. Though I did recognize FF3 (6), Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Legend of Zelda without too much effort (plus the games that were based on cartoons)

14, but most of them I recognized from their tv theme songs.

I did not get any points. I shut down the window when the video ad started.

wooo 100%, i lived, breathed, and slept video games in my childhood though.
If only there was some manner of plugin or addon for firefox that could actively filter out such things. I bet an Ad Block would be a definite Plus to any browsing experience.

Why GasBandit , if something like that were to be made, that would certainly be a red letter day!

57/93 and still going. Had to look up the WWF one because I didn't know which of the 67523675790236908257 versions it referred to.

Okay, 90/93, but 3 of them are apparently hidden questions which I didn't find. Got 4 of the emeralds, to.

When I played this a while ago, I had only missed a couple and that was because the dick that made the game added some lameass soccer game that had like 18 different titles. It shouldn't be called 90's gamer, it should be called 90's European mostly Sega Genesis gamer.

I was actually surprised I remember as many of those songs as I did. That was a sweet time waster!
