7:57AM Central, wife turned the radio to Holly channel on SiriusXM and ended a peaceful no WHAM! season on opening day.

On the way to work this morning... maybe 840am on my usual local radio station.
Welp, that was short lived!

It only counts if you hear it starting on Dec 1 until Christmas, right? Because I've heard it a few times in November.

It was difficult to hear and sounded like it might've been a cover, but I couldn't be sure.

Actually, you're still in it if you so choose. It's not supposed to count until December 1st.

I'm feeling good this year. There's no music at my work, I ride the bus so no car radio and I'm too poor to go shopping so little chance of it being in at a store for me. As long as I avoid the downtown shops a few blocks from work I should be in the clear.

Girlfriend sent me to the Walmart Saturday for last-minute stuff for an xmas party.
Got whammed within about 10 seconds of walking in.

We got Whamm'd in the car yesterday. As usual, I don't mind because now I don't have to think about it anymore. And I can listen to the song with impunity.

It's true, I've been told my rendition of Last Christmas technically qualifies as a violation of the Geneva Convention.

You know that guy who plays drums on a plastic tub while wearing a horse mask? I only know him because did a cross-over with Ally the Piper, but now I know him as a fucking douchebag who encourages people to knock others out of Whamageddon with his video. Though I'm tempted to call it a remix that doesn't count because he was playing drums over the song.

I was looking forward to playing some Christmas music and seeing how long I'd last. Guess I can still do that, but it still sucks to have a friend not taking Whamageddon the way it was intended.

First off, if he's playing alone und be tempted to say it's a cover/remix/alternate version.
Secondly, "no pvp" is literally one of the rules, soooo

I was under the impression that deliberately PKing people is considered a dick move but not, strictly speaking, against the rules.

No PVP is meant more for us... as in... no halforumite should be sending links to Last Christmas to another.

I’m out. Setting up testing devices today and person I was working with had Christmas music on. Currently being Whammed as I type.

This Christmas, we gave our son the LEGO 2in1 Christmas Tree.
The very next day, we got the BRIKSMAX lighting kit that goes with said tree.
BRIKSMAX has a 22-min YouTube video* demonstrating how to save you from tears while assembling/mounting the lighting kit onto the tree. The first 21min of this video are the video instructions, accompanied by an appropriately jingle-y rendition of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" BUT...for the last minute of the video, during the big reveal of the fully assembled and lit tree, they decided the absolute best song to accompany this was, you guessed it, "Last Christmas."

For anyone still in the game, there is a video going around about "Santa loves everyone." It's about a group of Goths visiting a mall Santa and everyone having a great time. Don't play it with sound.

FUCK. Imgur just got me. There's a video posted there called "Safety first" that involves wrapping a woman in christmas lights, and when I unmuted it, there was George Michael, yanking me out of the game THREE DAYS from the finish line.

"Alexa, play kids Christmas music."

Daughter is still up but I've now been whammed.

9 hours to go, but this evening we're going out to a restaurant to celebrate where I know they'll be playing Christmas songs all evening. Oh boy.

Oh for CRYING OUT LOUD.

It is currently 11:06pm on Christmas Eve here in Taiwan. I'm sitting here in front of my computer. My wife is sitting in the living room, watching TV. She channel surfs across a movie or a commercial or something, not sure, doesn't really matter, the point is that I hear the familiar lyrics, "... but the very next day, you gave it away..."
