What can change the nature of a man?

So I just finished Planescape: Torment a couple days ago. Far and away, the single best game I have ever played. The ending... Very bittersweet, but a definite sense of finality and satisfaction.

Now, I'm trying to find another game in the same vein. Any suggestions?

I agree, a great game. It's a shame that none of the digital distributors (Steam, Direct 2 Drive, GOG, etc.) have been able to get the rights to it. There was a recent re-issue of the game in the UK, I think, so there's hope that the copyright situation is being worked out.

Hey, that's my favorite game too :D

I haven't found too many games of a particularly similar inclination. Gameplay wise, there's the Baldur's Gate series and the first Fallouts and a few other good isometric RPGs that have good stories, but I've never really found anything that's ever come very close to measuring up in terms of story and sheer literary value. It was a very uniquely inspired and executed game.

I still need to get ahold of the old 'I have no Mouth and I Must Scream' game adaptation, I hear that's an interesting one.

I've always liked Baldur's Gate 2. It certainly doesn't match Planescape: Torment in story or sheer strangeness, but it is still incredibly good.

I want to play BG and Planescape, but i don't even have the time to finish all the games i have installed, let alone learn how to play D&D2ed (all i got last time i tried on the old PC was that THAC0 means lower # on armor = good)

Glad to see some love for this game. :D Any game that has a sequence like Longing (most emotionally wrenching scene in any video game, ever) deserves all the attention it gets.

It's just sad it's impossible to find legitimately. :(
