Archie VS Predator. Safety's off.
See, that issue was dumb... but not nearly as dumb as one of the later ones (which basically happened to restore Status Que). Then the series just kind of got dropped during the Death of Batman/Battle for the Cowl stuff and everyone went off to do their own thing again.Just went through the first 12 issues of Gotham City Sirens. The first 11 issues are fantastic, Paul Dini at his best and some great art. Riddler shows up a few times and is just fun as hell.
Then you get to issue 12 and everything nosedives. New penciller and writer, and it's all just bad and weird. Suddenly Catwoman has a Catholic Nun sister that's been possessed by an angel that can detect madness in people, and she for some reason believes Selina is under the sway of some weird Cat-demon. One issue of that was enough for me.
Yeah I enjoyed Carpenter's scenes, and the three women had pretty fun chemistry to read. The book managed to make Harley a pretty sympathetic character when you see her family (and the way she pins herself to Selena and Ivy) and kind of get why she had this need to be loved by anyone, which was unfortunately Joker.See, that issue was dumb... but not nearly as dumb as one of the later ones (which basically happened to restore Status Que). Those first 11 issues of GCS make the book almost as good as Birds of Prey during the period though. It's an awesome concept that I'd love to see revisited with some minor characters (Bring back The Carpenter! She's an awesome D-lister).
Thanks! I think I'm also going to try this list too.He...doesn't get a lot of love in solo issues, honestly. Kyle Baker had a really great run with him, though. I'm not sure if that work is still in print.
He was a part of the JLA during Grant Morrison and Mark Waid's run. He shows up in the Rock of Ages arc and then joins the team officially shortly after that. And those are some great appearances, especially for the Divided We Fall story that Mark Waid did (one of my favourite JLA stories).
Their cosmic marvel reading list was amazing./co/'s recommended reading lists are usually pretty spot-on, I've used ones for Thanos and Taskmaster and wasn't disappointed.
Wait...wait.... is the guy on the far right a centaur!?!?? Coz that's pretty badass right there. And please tell me that each issue is like an episode of Wacky Racers.
Finally, some Secret Wars I can get into.
And the one on the far left is in a wheelchair.Wait...wait.... is the guy on the far right a centaur!?!?? Coz that's pretty badass right there. And please tell me that each issue is like an episode of Wacky Racers.
I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be some kind of futuristic flying vehicle. And the one on the far left is in a wheelchair.

The last few years have not been kind to Professor X.I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be some kind of futuristic flying vehicle.
I'm sure it is, with Industrial Revolution-sized saw blades for wheels. But the styling of that vehicle makes me think the host mortal is probably someone in a wheelchair.I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be some kind of futuristic flying vehicle.
Here's a better look at it.I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be some kind of futuristic flying vehicle.
Where would you rank the first issue among BKV's work? I absolutely love Saga, but most his other stuff does nothing for me.We Stand on Guard. Brian K Vaughan's new comic set 100 years in the future about an occupied Canada and the freedom fighters trying to free my lovely country from water thirsty American overlords. Steve Skroce is the artist on it and it's FUCKING GORGEOUS.
Only one issue in thus far and now I gotta sit and wait for the trade.
I dunno, Jughead was great but otherwise it fell kind of flat to me. Tried to be some kind of Ferris Bueller thing with the 4th wall-breaking narration but it flowed a little strange. Still, though, it's got potential and I'll probably read a few more to see how it goes. The new Archie #1 by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples is great. With those two on the creative team you expect something good, and they deliver. The characters are very much their classic archetypes, but with a depth that makes them feel more real.
If you were an Archie fan before you should pick this up. If you're looking for a good american slice of life book you should pick this up.[DOUBLEPOST=1436536279,1436536200][/DOUBLEPOST]

I generally like his work, so that might be hard. Saga is by far my favorite, but I enjoyed Y and Ex Machina too. It's only one issue in, but I'm already hooked. There's an amazing bit of Superman dialog in there that's very Kill Bill in a ra-ra Canadian way that made me chuckle pretty hard. The new Archie #1 by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples is great. I assume its either 20 something pages of him failing to smash things than, or watching the Tristar remake on an endless loop.Godzilla In Hell. Dat fucking art.
It's literally what the title says and the cover implies. Godzilla is in some kind of Hell and decides "nah, fuck that" and starts blowing shit up. It's awesome.I assume its either 20 something pages of him failing to smash things than, or watching the Tristar remake on an endless loop.
Whoa whoa whoa. There's a digital comics museum? Why wasn't I notified?!!z
Thanks! I think I'm also going to try this list too.
