I was recently asked by a friend's daughter what I liked. I asked, what do you mean? She said, "Well, I like ponies and kitties and princesses. What do you like?"

I had to think for a moment. I'd never actually had to formulate a list of the "things I like." After a few seconds, I said,

"I like video games, pretty girls, fast cars, fighter planes, guns, explosions, barbecued meat, cheap whiskey, smart comedians and music that couldn't exist without electricity."

She lost interest about halfway through the sentence.

Anyway, that sounds like an interesting forum topic.

What do you like, as expressed in a single sentence under ten seconds?

I like comics, superheroes being genuine superheroes, yoga, telling lame jokes and making people laugh, writing, urban cycling, and wrestling."

I don't know if that's ten seconds, but I guess it'll do.

Confident intelligent nerdy brunettes with great tits.

I like porn, games, and porn games.

This is rapidly approaching the threshold of things I can't see going over well if they were said to my friend's 5 year old daughter.

I like discovering/deriving/exploring new things, bringing joy to others, quiet green Nature settings, being of value, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

I think I can pass for a 5 year old.

Animation, comics/manga, comedy, occultism,mysteries,puzzles, animals, heat, food, good booze, comedy, lasers, imagining what it would be like to SHOOT lasers, solitude, conversation, my beard, anarchy, chaos, order, robots, and sleeping.

I like travel, burritos, and smart people.

I like feeling worthwhile and having made a meaningful contribution. The feeling of a job well done and having made someone else's life better in some small way. I also like being alone and being completely free to do everything when and how I want to, completely free from society, hermit-style.

I like video games and making people laugh.

I abstain.


Just kidding. I love learning new skills. I'm like the Taskmaster, only with everything.

Sitting quietly by myself and thinking about stuff. Exchanging ideas. Taking something, and making it work a little bit better. Learning the rudiments of as many things as possible.

I like cooking for people, seeing new places, music, stories, and tortoises.

I like fresh air, blue skies, the smell of bbq, the taste of gin,reading, and playing video games. oh...and smoking.

I do like Gin Tonic. But I have a lot of really good Gin bottles,which taste quite good without mixing it with something else.

I like martial arts, video games, heavy metal, movies, comics, steak and beautiful women. Not necessarily in that order.

So yeah, this forum is a pretty groovy place. It has everything I like.

I like learning new things, traveling to new places, fine scotch and nice cigars at a bbq with friends, beautiful girls with nice bodies that are capable of having a conversation beyond whatever is popular with social media right now, working metal at a hot forge or a melting furnace and building things with my own two hands.

I read that as shoot robot lasers from my beard... Which sounds awesome so l put that on my list!!

Oh and also cats and puppies.

I like just sitting on my lawn chair when it's cool out at night and having a beer.

I like having complex and weird dreams like the one I had last night. Kinda sucks that I forget all the details so easily.

I like a good joke that catches me by surprise and makes me lose my control for like 5 minutes.

I like coffee.

I like dogs, and specifically chill cats.

You know, the simple things in life.

Let's see... video games (old, new, PC, console, mobile - none of that shit matters as long as the game is good); a big cup of hot cocoa on a cool, crisp autumn evening; a big cup of tea on a cool, misty winter/spring day; BBQ; thunderstorms; reading in the sun on hot summer days; long hikes through cool forests; summer drives down the coast; bacon double cheese burgers from the burger joint at my university's home town; good whiskey; good beer; and board games with friends.

I like etymology. Linguistics in general. Just today, I was looking up other words for earth, and the similarity among languages is striking. You can almost see the branches of the trees. From Al Ardh to Erde to Arde to Earth (not to mention Arda in the Tolkien-verse). Gaia->Ge, Terra->Tierra->Tir. All very interesting.

I like knowing that someone thinks I'm important, flying in a clear blue sky, children's giggles, animal kisses, being strong enough to protect others, teaching someone a life skill, camping, hiking, fighting, history, and reenacting.

I like cats and rainbows and waterfalls.

Man, I could stare at the water rushing over Niagara ffor hours. And staring at that water for hours I want to jump in and go over with it. Wait. I just mean that it's hypnotizing.
