Because vBulletin v4 in their infinite wisdom does not allow for an entire post to be within BB codes. So your entire post can't be an image.

But wrap your mind around his: If your entire post is a YouTube video the software automatically puts tags around it yet it lets you do it. It's weird I tells ya!

More often, I add a little commentary, to avoid the issue altogether.
