Lately if I try to go to tumblr, facebook, twitter, hotmail and even fucking googlemail I get this.
I thought the fix would be simple. My computer sometimes resets its time and date. However, this time no such thing had happened. I disabled firewalls, checked proxies, etc. I even uninstalled and reinstalled chrome. This fixes it for a little while then it starts all over again.
I google searched a solution but all solutions I have found go a little over my head.
So, any ideas my friends?

I have yet to understand why people like Chrome. Personally, I hated it.

I love chrome. It's never done anything wrong...until now.

It's looking like it's a pretty common problem and there currently isn't a permanent solution
Suggestion I saw was to kill all the chrome processes in the task manager and restarting. That'll fix chrome for the session.

Shoot. It didn't work.

Yeah. You should be giving up Chrome because of all the spyware that gets installed along with it*.

It's a shame, really. I was a Chrome fan. And then Google had to announce that any and every Google-related product was going to mine my life for info, and that I couldn't opt out, and then I became sad.

I'll stick with my Firefox, thank you very much.
Speaking of web browsers, I just noticed that some of the computers in my school still have Netscape installed on them....
NET.....SCAPE.....
That was my preferred browser before FF came along.

Look I am not a Chrome fan either but LS didn't come here to ask for our opinion on what browser she should use. She was simply asking for some technical help but so far just about the only thing anyone has posted so far is the fact that they hate Chrome.
I don't use Chrome so I am not sure exactly what to do but if it is not the time/date issue you can try checking Chromes SSL settings to see if something got messed up. If that doesn't work you can use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Chrome and all of its registry files and what not. Than you could go in and use CCleaner to wipe all your temp files out. After that you could reboot and re-install Chrome and see if that works.

Wish Safari for Windows was more like the Mac version. It's the perfect browser in my opinion. Loved it since it was Konqueror on KDE. It browses and gets the hell out of the way.

You can always just go and get the current WebKit project directly, y'know. If you don't want to wait until Apple incorporates the newest features, that is.

In my environment, Chrome acts a lot like spyware. It downloads itself without being obvious (my users are not all sharp,) and it breaks shit. Every web app we use has to be either IE or Firefox.
