I still defend Boston on that. I think it's one of those things that seems stupid until you spot some some duct taped wired mess hanging on the bridge you're driving on.

I concur. Not everyone is a bunch of adult swim watching, pop culture gurus.

I still can't believe that it went down as a hoax. It was an advertising attempt that no one understood.

It wasn't long after this, however, that Boston just started calling the bomb squad and blowing up every random piece of crap they found on the street. I remember the threads about them.
