WORDLE

Got *very* lucky with my second guess.

I was looking to confirm if the words in italics were book titles only to get "Book of X" which put me onto the Bible and from there it was obvious (barring the "what do you mean I haven't solved it with John the Baptist?" moment).

I did ok on this one: I solved today's Redactle (#245) in 24 guesses with an accuracy of 50.00%. Played at https://www.redactle.com/

It all came together when I tried 'cross', thinking of it as a verb and found it as a proper noun.

I managed to resist temptation and make a blind guess of Mott the Hoople

from there it was obvious (barring the "what do you mean I haven't solved it with John the Baptist?" moment).
I had the same moment.

first I was floundering to find any sort of category, but "book" helped, then I realized it was a person and actually found the last word first. Then had to figure out which one.

Not nearly as good as I have been lately. I had the first word but the third I will admit I had to google. But I knew who it was.

This one? This one's a bitch. I had it
narrowed down to sometihng with physics fairly quickly... The words with one single letter appended at the end put my mind to isotopes once I had exhausted my usual starting words and started actually reading and trying to make sense of the article.
I found
liquid helium, and bose-Einstein condensate, and actually tried
superfluid
and I was convinced I was close but I admit I went to Google around for terms and words relating to that...
Yeah, this article also doesn't exist in Dutch - only my last spoilered word there.

I got "superfluid" on guess 68 but it didn't occur to me to guess "superfluidity" until nearly thirty guesses later.

I'd bet @PatrThom would get this in 20 or less.
I solved today's Redactle (#249) in 213 guesses with an accuracy of 52.58%

It took me 103 guesses before I figured out what was going on, and then another ~100 guesses of fleshing out terms I knew but then trying to figure out why the FIVE synonyms I typed in got no hits before I finally stumbled onto the one they were looking for.
I was so sure I was finally on the right track, but then “Photocell?” Nope. “Phototransistor?” Nope. “Photosensor?” Nope. “Photodetector?” Nope. Etc.

This is one of the first where I really managed to narrow down what sort of thing we were looking for without starting out with a dozen or more general category words.
Still took me a bit of time
because I spent a bunch of time trying the Normans, Gaelic,, Picts, Saxons, and pretty much every other tribe that ever lived in Britain before I thought of this one.

This one was hard. I had a total of 9 hits in my first 77 guesses, and I only started making progress when my wife joined in and started making suggestions.

Yikes. Ok, haven't tried in a while, but now I'm curious.

Got the first word on my second guess.
I knew what direction to look in, but I really ran out of semi-synonyms for commission, group, meeting, assembly, gathering, association, conference, fund, organization, etc etc.
The fact that "History" didn't return anything really threw me off, too, given the topic./
