Guess I'll take the 1% bonus words instead.

tenths was the last word for me, as it's a word that doesn't have a translation in Dutch - it's the same as tenth and doesn't pluralize

This might be me, but the first word I saw today was "clitoris". All the letters are there but unfortunately you can't make it.

Also, I get wanting to "highlight" it and all, but the bonus word is the day shouldn't be a bonus word at all. It's a perfectly normal word.

I'm probably gonna hate myself once I see it but what in the world was the Bonus Word of the Day today?

How is
cosy
only a bonus word?
UK vs. US spelling, I presume!

Trisomy. It seems like the bonus words tend to be regionally-specific spellings (like "cosy" vs "cozy") or semi-specalized or scientific terms (at least, those are the bonus words I've found!)

Because it's an alternative spelling.

It's usually spelled cozy.

I didn't hate myself. It's a medical term, and despite @Bubble181 thinking it's normal, it's not common vocabulary.

trisomy : " an abnormality characterized by the presence of an additional chromosome to the normal diploid number. "

I dunno, maybe it's a language thing. It's a normal way of referring to the thing in Dutch and French,at least.

Still working on today's.
The 12-, 13- and 16-letter words were Instantly obvious with just having to check where to begin, but
with these 16 letters there were so many more fun options that aren't possible. Sure, Enterprise is an obvious one, but hirsute, for example, would've been fun to get in there. Or Turnip, if we're assuming this theme points to Trump :awesome: retinue! Reunite! Respite... Or, for Trump, spite :p so many options! I genuinely think you could make another square with this 16-letter word and have barely any overlap. Purse. Spurn. Peruse. Puree. Tense. Steppe. Rupee. Sure, I can keep coming up with words with these letters that DON'T fit. Now to find the ones that DO.

I've played a couple of those and solved them, but usually struggle because I always forget that plurals and other permutations (-ly, -ing) count as different words

No, not obvious. I spent hours trying to figure out those words. For a while I thought the actual word was just a red herring because I couldn't figure out how to find the right path through the letters.

To each their own I guess. The moment I knew there was a 16-letter word (and the number of words with a specific letter count is shown from the start, it's not a hint or a cheat) I never doubted which one it was. Like I said, finding the right path was a bit tricky, but the word itself wasn't.

The 16 letter one wasn't obvious to me, it took me quite a while to get it.

Also am I getting dumber or are these getting harder? I know today's is a 5 star puzzle but it really had me stumped for a while.

This was a hard one for me.
I got inter and I got view early on, but I didn't get interview until near the end.
that one came fairly quickly for me, but I had the same with inter and twine

I played https://squaredle.com 03/25:

I got all the smaller words until I only had 9+ letter words left, and I was all like "I have no idea how I'm going to get these words" and then suddenly they all jumped out at me.
