For just getting rid of YouTube ads I say no. But if you don't use Spotify or Apple Music you get Google Music All Access for free (and vice-versa with YouTube Red). So there's that.Wasn't quite sure where to put the question - media or tech, so I went here.
Question is Exactly What It Says On The Tin. Is the $9.99/month worth it to get rid of the ads? Too much? Not enough?
Absolutely, since it includes Play Music All Access as well. It's replaced Spotify for me. I look at it as subscribing for the music, and having ad-free YouTube as a bonus.Wasn't quite sure where to put the question - media or tech, so I went here.

I permanently deleted the YouTube app when I discovered it was maintaining a history of all the videos I watched WITHOUT any way to clear that history except to continually delete and reinstall the app.I hate that they're restricting features on the iOS YouTube app because of Red. I'll probably not get it because of that.
What happened to "Always pay yourself first?"I don't use red. I just use adblock plus. Which is a bit ironic, given that my channel is monetized.
Actually, I'm not supposed to. I can get in trouble for clicking my own ads. What happened to "Always pay yourself first?"

Mine does. Unless the advertisement is physically part of the video I am watching. Adblock Plus catches all the pre roll post roll and banner ads during the video.Adblock Plus doesn't work on Youtube videos with the "embedded" ads...
