Probably not in the long run. In the short term, it's going to take longer than Microsoft would like for Windows 8 to be adopted as the go-to OS, especially for enterprise customers. There's been a... weakness... discovered in the OS when it comes to desktop computers, something that doesn't affect tablets and phones, that will slow the upgrade down even more than normal. There have also been some issues with the first gen version of the Surface that mean that they didn't have the holiday sales numbers they really wanted, as more and more people are waiting for the non-ARM version of the device. And last, but certainly not least, there are some learning curve issues with Office 2013.

I have no idea how these things are really going to play out on the market. Most traders should probably be experienced enough in newly released technologies to understand that there are going to be some bumps and bruises along the way, and not just dump the stock, so you should be safe.

Dangit. I forgot to sell my Costco stock before Christmas, and now it's dropping like a stone. Now my only hope is that enough people will hit up Costco for their New Year's Eve party booze.

I have to admit, the splitting trick and the fact that people can make gazillions of Halbucks easily has killed my interest in the stock market game.

There is now a minimum price set for stocks. If the stock price is less than $2 you will not be able to buy it.

So now we've got Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Paris, Euronext London and Euronext Berlin - but still no Euronext Brussels? Psfht.

Actually they can, it just can't be based on stocks that currently cost less than $2/share, and a ton of people still have stocks that got reversed split in their portfolios it's just that Dave sold off the folks who had them to the tune of $100,000 instead of only a few thousand.

And if someone games the system with the reverse split, they may find them mysteriously gone.

Holy shit.... almost EVERYTHING in the green today... I've gone up damned near 11% on my ENTIRE portfolio... the only thing not at an overall profit so far is my Pepsi stocks, but they're on the rise right now

Mine dropped 22 cents today (after I sold it off, of course). I re-bought it now and am hoping for turn around back to starting, which would net a pretty profit.
