No, it's a joke about melodramatic internet culture. Trigger warnings aren't just for rape. Not to ruin any conspiracy theories, but he might have been inspired by the same thing that made us talk about Downtown Abby: the season premier.
Also, the latest comic... Is that a rape joke?
Trigger warnings are for everything! Posting a picture of the sausage pizza you just ate? Better label it trigger warnings so that sensitive vegans don't have to be reminded that pork fat rules! No, it's a joke about melodramatic internet culture. Trigger warnings aren't just for rape.
I would hope after the recent Goblins debacle webcomic artists would learn that rape and webcomics do not mix very well. Not to ruin any conspiracy theories, but he might have been inspired by the same thing that made us talk about Downtown Abby: the season premier.

I didn't even know there was a debacle with goblins, though I remember the controversy with the PA Dickwolves.I would hope after the recent Goblins debacle webcomic artists would learn that rape and webcomics do not mix very well.
Someone got upset that Goblins had Kin being raped over and over again and took everything the wrong way, thinking the author was making rape jokes. It got totally blown out of proportion and context and was a clusterfuck.I didn't even know there was a debacle with goblins, though I remember the controversy with the PA Dickwolves.
Yeah, basically some woman read a few pages of Gobins (I believe it was the ones where the creepy guy with the wooden arm and Minmax were in the bar), saw the creepy guy mention how he'd rape Kin nightly, and basically didn't read anything else in the comic. She went nuts on Thunt using her website and twitter, he basically unleashed his fans in a fit of rage, then regretted it and asked them to stop when they started sending her death threats.I didn't even know there was a debacle with goblins, though I remember the controversy with the PA Dickwolves.
It was actually even sillier than that. She read the strip where the demons and Fox were having a parlay and there was the line where the demon said he and his friends were going to dogpile someone's soul as a threat and she freaked out about it publicly, and then when people told her she was overreacting, she went deep into the archives to find the mention of wood guy and Kin.Yeah, basically some woman read a few pages of Gobins (I believe it was the ones where the creepy guy with the wooden arm and Minmax were in the bar), saw the creepy guy mention how he'd rape Kin nightly, and basically didn't read anything else in the comic. The woman was the one at fault for being a fucking idiot and not understanding a villain when she sees one but Thunt was out of line for what he did in response. To his credit, at least Thunt realized his mistake and tried to reel it in.
Only if he did so in a way that didn't trip triggers for this one person. What was the demon supposed to say, then? Threaten the guy with a comfortable pillow?
Porn?I hope she never finds dogpile.com
