yyyyep.Err... is anyone else getting an "http/1.1 Service Unavailable" message for Amazon.com?
And http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/amazon.com agrees.

Very nice.<------- That.
It's back up for me now. And yes, from the friends that I have who either currently work there or used to work there, they lose millions of dollars per hour of outage, and tens to hundreds of millions per hour during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.[DOUBLEPOST=1359664753][/DOUBLEPOST]Amazon is up for me, even though downforeveryone disagrees.
I wonder if we're having more peering problems.
It's very interesting, though, because Amazon is distributed. For Amazon to go down, a very strange and critical series of steps have to occur. Makes me wonder if it's not intentional and/or malicious activity from someone else.
Amazon probably loses tens of millions of dollars for every hour it's not on.
It's gone down before from sheer volume. I can't really go into details about which parts of their service are most vulnerable, but certain parts of their service, which are essential to all of the site, are more vulnerable than others and could be taken down with a well directed attack on the right location (and have occasionally been taken down due to poor planning, poor execution, poor communication, abject stupidity, and just plain over-eager shoppers).isn't the it the same system that Google employs? I was lead to believe that it is almost impossible to take them down, its a massive distributed server system so in order to wipe it you have to hit all nodes at once.
no worries my best friend is a network engineer and is filling me in on whats going on, its kind of amazing to be honest. It's back up for me now. Nifty. Where'd ya get it?<------- That.
My friend drew it for me. I have no talent in that department so I have to rely on others.Nifty. Where'd ya get it?
<------- I feels, bro.I have no talent in that department so I have to rely on others.
It must've been a very sworded affair to get that done.<------- That.
She was really on point though. It must've been a very sworded affair to get that done.
Sounds like a friend that's a cut above the rest. She was really on point though.
With the exception of number 1, I owned all of those games, and beat most of them. They were all excellent! So I clicked on one of those recommended videos from youtube and got this.
Then watching it, I realized I had beaten the majority of them. Then I realized how much of my life I have wasted.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...-googl/bdokagampppgbnjfdlkfpphniapiiifn?hl=enHow do you get a Youtube video to loop continuously?
I'm confused, how is playing amazing games and finishing them for tons of self satisfaction wasted time?So I clicked on one of those recommended videos from youtube and got this.

If she wants to know, have her put her hand inside the freezer of your fridge for about 10 minutes. Tell her to multiply that by 1,000, and you get Minnesota/Northern Wisconsin winters.I've been spending the last week or so trying to explain to my wife what a proper Northern Midwest winter is like, as we're most likely going to be moving to Minnesota instead of Louisville. I still don't think she really grasps what a dry, cold wind feels like when it's 0F outside with a windchill of -20 or so, and I hope she doesn't come to regret the decision too much. I, on the other hand, can't fucking wait.
Goddamn Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I might have to pull that out right now and play until I weep uncontrollably and give up.I'm confused, how is playing amazing games and finishing them for tons of self satisfaction wasted time?
I feel for you, my wife teaches middle school and literally has students who already sell drugs. Others who flat out say they're not going to bother with High School because they're going to work in their dad's auto-mechanic shop. As well as many other stories that just leave you with a feeling of pointless-ness.I'm 75-80% sure that one of the kids I teach will one day (not really soon, but someday) attempt to kill or at least horribly injure someone unless something changes dramatically. I love him, and he behaves in my class, but he scares me sometimes. It's being looked into by professionals, and he's aware of his issues. God, I think of him every day and hope that he gets well. He has many wonderful qualities... Just please let him be well one day.
Just get her a remote starter for her car, and it won't be too bad.I've been spending the last week or so trying to explain to my wife what a proper Northern Midwest winter is like, as we're most likely going to be moving to Minnesota instead of Louisville. That's what made it tough to me, like they mentioned on the jumping especially. That archaic Ninja Gaiden-style knockback when you get hit has always been bullshit.I never thought Actraiser was that hard, aside from the controls in the side scrolling portions to be pretty crappy.
Oh don't get me wrong, it's a great game. It's nowhere near as hard as these guys make it out to be, though.Donkey Kong Country was one of the first games I ever got 100% completion on. I seriously loved that game (and number 2)
On the one hand, at least the kids who are going to work in an auto-mechanic shop are learning a trade skill.I feel for you, my wife teaches middle school and literally has students who already sell drugs. Others who flat out say they're not going to bother with High School because they're going to work in their dad's auto-mechanic shop. As well as many other stories that just leave you with a feeling of pointless-ness.
No, it really isn't. It's inclusion baffled me.With the exception of number 1, I owned all of those games, and beat most of them. They were all excellent!
Though really, Donkey Kong Country wasn't really that hard.
