The EPIC WIN Thread 3: SON OF EPIC

I got casting results back this morning. I will be in 2 of the one-act, student written, student directed plays at my college. I will be playing David Strider in "The Darkness Inside" and Jack in "Unexpected Interruption". I'm not completely certain which plays these are, but I think the first is about demon possession and the second is about a married woman seeking help from her friend because she thinks her husband is having an affair. (I'm kind of ambivalent about not getting "Friend Zoned", on one hand I would have liked to be in a comedy, on the other hand I won't have to watch what I say on Tumblr. :awesome:)

Rehearsals start a week from Monday, I think. They'll be Monday through Friday, an hour for each play, and I think three weeks of that before the week of presentation... though maybe it's a full month of rehearsals. In any case I'm going to be busy busy busy learning lines, blocking and everything else while I try to keep up with school as well.

On the plus side, I've met three of my four co-stars already, and they seem really nice. One is in my acting class, and she's pretty cool; I know I'm going to like working with her. A second is the gal who said "The Killing Joke" is her favorite comic book, when we did a cold read together. I'm really looking forward to working with her, she strikes me as someone I'll enjoy spending time with. The third is the guy who is directing "Friend Zoned", and he seemed nice when I read for him. The fourth remains a mystery, other than her gender. (At first, Jordan, playing the part of Nurse, wasn't much to go on, then I noticed she's also playing the part of Tanya in another play.)

I'm so excited/nervous about this I can barely think straight. I'm so eager to get my scripts and start wrapping my head around the plot and characters.

Just booked the hotel room for my girlfriend and I for Disneyland this June!

:aaah: DIZNAYLAAAAAAND!!!!! :aaah:
Didn't you just get back from Disneyland?

No... wait, that was someone else.

....

All the halforumites are blending together in my head!

(was it gusto?)

I've been hanging out with two of my brothers the last couple of days. Today we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. During the Beast of Caerbonnog scene we were drinking Shiner Wild Hare Ale.... fitting. Back to the bonfire.

Bubble181 in what way are pants not an epic win? Are you a tunic sympathizer?
On the one hand, I'm a big fan of kilts, and keep hoping against hope they'll be fashionable for us non-Scots soon.
On the other hand, I combined your post with the one before it, and sauna pants are definitely not epic win material. They're Incredible HulkRanger material, possibly, which could be epic, but still....

I found two new roommates, a guy and a girl from Colombia and not only are they nice, they have paid their rent.

Hallelujah. :p

I'll know for sure tomorrow when I talk with the owner, but it looks like I'll finally be employed. It's just dishwashing, but hell, I'll take what I can get.
