Well, Lirian was pretty clearly female... and enjoying Dorukan's mighty oak, ifyaknowwhatI'msayingwinkwinknudgenudge...
That only proves that some elves are female (or close enough) not what percentage of elves are, and does not preclude there being more than two sexes, or intersexed exceptions to the norm.

Not much really. This is the dark middle act of this particular chapter. The team is effectively down to half strength and the LG keeps getting better.

Clearly the OotS won't TPK in this dungeon but right now things look pretty bleak.

It's always been established that Belkar won't live to see the end of the adventure. Or at least assumed. So the fact that he's basically outlived Durkon is just a crazy twist. Durkon has always been the most straight and narrow of the group. It's quite a blow to see him in his current state. I really hope there is a satisfying solution to this problem. I've never known Burlew to write anything that I felt didn't work in the context of the story. In fact most of his decisions typically involve fantastically detailed interpretations of the rules of previous D&D editions. If there is a way out for Durkon, guaranteed it's legit.

I'm not saying that Durkon won't be saved in some way, but he's definitely returning to his beloved Dwarven homelands as a corpse, animated or otherwise.

Also,

He was kicked out of the dwarven lands indefinitely because it has been prophesied that he would bring great destruction upon them. Not hard to see how that could be connected.

Oh lord. If he returns as a vampire.... actually that would be pretty funny cause the dumbasses kicked him out and set it all in motion anyway. hahaha.

V is going to have to step up his/her game to contend with the fucked up situation his/her carelessness got the group into. I have no doubt that if V stayed with them Durkon would not be a vampire right now.

I think its an illusion that creates a foe based on your fears. All those runes they passed were probably scanning their minds.

Could be. That would also explain why we don't see Redcloak's face - and whether or not he is sporting an eye-patch or not.
It just seems too unlikely that Xykon would show up right then and there, without some kind of dramatic entrance or re-introduction after such a long period of not appearing in the comic. Your deduction regarding Red Cloak wasn't something I noticed, but that really makes a lot of sense. They wouldn't know about the missing eye yet, but we as an audience would notice immediately. And that's just the kind of forethought Burlew would display.
When I saw what I assumed to be Redcloak my actual thought was "if this is their true introduction, we'd see all the baddies in a single frame. Not one and half a face."

My first thought, before even getting to the end of the strip, was, "Man, for a crazy illusion-themed dungeon, there are not nearly enough illusory mindgames."

And then what might considered Roy's biggest fear walked through the door.

Well, that certainly was a thing that happened there.

I wonder if we'll get to see the other folks' perfect world illusions too.
