Ah gotcha: LordRendar that's because at the beginning of the first Pokemon game, Prof Oak says he's been studying Pokemon his entire life yet his Pokedex (Pokemon Library of Information) is completely empty. The very next thing he asks you to do is name your rival, which happens to be his grandson.

I used to do something like that at a previous job. They had one of those non-adjustable thermostats with two mercury tubes permanently set to the upper and lower max temps (66/74). What they didn't realize is that I could exchange them quite easily...or just jump the socket contacts with a twistie-tie.

It was an expensive prank, but I thought it was funny, and he was pretty cool about it, actually taking it for a drive that way.
